ORDINANCE NO. 5120
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY
BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
411 BUSINESS CENTER DRIVE
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect is an Illinois Home Rule municipality; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect deem it necessary and
advisable for the Village to acquire the property legally described on Exhibit A to improve its roadway
system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: Acting in the exercise of its Home Rule power, it is hereby determined that it is
necessary, proper and desirable that the Village of Mount Prospect acquire title to, and possession of, the
real property legally described on Exhibit A, attached to and made a part of this Ordinance.
SECTION TVVO: Having determined that the acquisition is Jn the best interests of the Village of Mount
Prospect, the Village President and Village Clerk are hereby authorized to execute such documents as
are necessary to purchase the property Jn an amoun'~ not to exceed $18,500.00.
SECTION THREE: The Village President, Board of Trustees, Village Clerk, Village Manager, Village
Attorney, Special Attorneys, officers and employees are hereby empowered to perform any act necessary
to implement, can7 out and give effect to the terms and provisions of this Ordinance.
SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage, approval and
publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.

ABSENT: Wilks

Legal Description for Harvest Lane Relocation at 411 Business Center Drive
Commencing at the southeast corner of Lot 10 in Kensington Center Phase One, being
a subdivision in the East half of Section 34, and the West half of Section 35, in
Township 42 North, Range 11 East of the third principal meridian, in Cook County,
Illinois, thence north 89° 39' 56" west a distance of 580.70 feet along the south property
line to the Point of Beginning, thence north 60° 12' 54" east a distance of 36.77 feet
along the westedy property line, thence along an arc having a radius of 544.70 feet a
distance of 60.15 feet along the westerly property line, thence south 28° 50' 04" east a
distance of 59.54 feet, thence westedy a distance of 110 feet along the south property
line to the point of beginning;
