THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: SECTION 1: That the findings set forth above are incorporated by reference into this Section 1 as if fully set forth herein. SECTION 2: That this President and Board of Trustees further find as follows: (a) The territory described in Section 3 of this Ordinance contains less than sixty (60) acres and is wholly bounded by the Village of Mount Prospect. (b) Such territory is not within the corporate limits of any municipality, but is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, a municipality existing under the laws of the State of Illinois. (c) Notice that the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect are contemplating the annexation of such territory and zoning the territory as 1-1: Limited Industrial District has been published not less than ten (10) days prior to passage of this Ordinance as required by Section 7-1- 13 of the Illinois Municipal Code (65 ILCS 5/7-1-13). SECTION 4: That the Village Clerk is hereby and herewith instructed, to promptly record with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois: (a) A copy of this Ordinance certified as correct by the Clerk of said Village of Mount Prospect; and (b) The plats of the land included in this annexation, as required by law, said plats to be attached to the aforesaid certified copy of this Ordinance. And to send a certified copy of this Ordinance, within 30 days of adoption, to the Cook County Election Department/Commission, by certified or registered mail. SECTION 5: The new boundary of the Village of Mount Prospect shall extend to the far side of any adjacent right-of-way, provided said right-of-way is not currently located within the corporate limits of another municipality, and shall include all of every right-of- way within the area annexed hereby. SECTION 6: The territory upon annexation into the Village of Mount Prospect shall be zoned 1-1: Limited Industrial District. SECTION 7: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon and after its adoption and approval as required by law.
