PROPERTY INDEX NUMBER: 08-12-223-036-0000 ADDRESS COMMONLY KNOWN AS: 718 East Northwest Highway, Mount Prospect, IL 60056 566270_1 ORDINANCE NO. 6722 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE TO OPERATE A MASSAGE THERAPY ESTABLISHMENT AT THE PROPERTY 718 EAST NORTHWEST HIGHWAY MOUNT P OSPECT ILLINOIS WHEREAS, Enlightenment Massage LLC ("Petitioner's, is seeking a conditional use to operate a massage therapy establishment for property located at 718 East Northwest Highway and legally described as: LOT 29, 30, 31, 32, 33 AND LOT 34 IN BLOCK 22 IN THE RESUBDIVISION OF LOT 7 IN BLOCK 21 LOTS 12 TO 19 BOTH INCLUSIVE IN BLOCK 22 AN LOTS 12 AND 13 IN BLOCK 23 IN BUSSE'S EASTERN ADDITION TO MOUNT PROSPECT IN THE EAST 1/2 OF SECTION 12, TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 11 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS. PIN: 08-12-223-036-0000 WHEREAS, the "Petitioner" seeks a Conditional Use to allow a massage therapy establishment; and WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held on the request for a Conditional Use being the subject of PZ -20-23 before the Planning and Zoning Commission of the Village of Mount Prospect on the 25th day of January 2024 pursuant to proper legal notice having been published in the Dail Herald Ndws a er on the 10th day of January 2024; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have given consideration to the request herein and have determined that the request meets the standards of the Village and that the granting of the Conditional Use to allow a massage therapy establishment would be in the best interest of the Village. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS ACTING IN THE EXERCISE OF THEIR HOME RULE POWERS: SECTION ONE: That the recitals set forth hereinabove are incorporated herein as findings of fact by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect. SECTION TWO.: The Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect do hereby grant a Conditional Use to operate a massage therapy establishment for property located at 718 East Northwest Highway, Mount Prospect subject to the following conditions: 1. The business shall hold a valid Mount Prospect business license; 2. Any massage therapist employed at the business establishment shall hold a valid massage therapist license with the State of Illinois; 3. During business hours, the entrance door shall remain unlocked, and the storefront windows and entrance doors shall be transparent and unobstructed; and 4. Compliance with all applicable Village Code requirements, including but not limited to, fire code and building regulations. SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
