AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING ~ WITH
RESPECT TO THE ZONING PROPERTY FROM
I-1 TO R-3 (APARTMENT RESIDENCE) DISTRICT
(1000 WEST CENTRAL ROAD)
WHEREAS, Kimball Hill, Inc. (hereinaf=er referred ~o as
Petitioner), has filed an application 5o rezone the property
generally located at 1000 West Central Road (hereinafter referred
to as Subject Property), legally described as follows:
The East Half of the Southeast Quarser (excep5 the east 710
feet thereof) of Section 33, Township 42 North, Range 11, East
of the Third Principal, lying South of the right-of-way of the
Chicago and Northwestern Railway, and except for the East 425
feet of the South 496 feet thereof in Cook County, Illinois
and
WHEREAS, Petitioner has requested the Subject Property be rezoned
from I-1 (Light Industrial) to R-3 (Apartment Residence) District;
and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the reques= for rezoning,
being the subject of ZBA Case No. 20-Z-93, before the Zoning Board
of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect on the 25th day of
March, 1993 pursuant to due and proper notice thereof having been
published in the Mount Prospect Herald on the 9th day of March,
1993; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has submitted its findings and
recommendation to the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect have considered the request being the subjec5 of
ZBA 20-Z-93 and have determined that the best interests of the
Village of Mount Prospect would be served by granting said request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the recitals set forth hereinabove are
incorporated herein as findings of fact by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect.
SECTION TWO: The official zoning map of the Village of Moun5
Prospect, Illinois, as amended, is hereby further amended by
reclassifying the property being the subjec5 of this Ordinance from
I-1 to R-3 (Apartment Residence) District.
SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet
form in the manner provided by law.

NAYS: None
ABSENT: Busse
