AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
FOR THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT AS IT PERTAINS
TO PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED AT 1000 WEST CENTRAL ROAD
WHEREAS, 65 ILCS 5/11-12-6 Illinois Combined Statutes, permits
municipalities to create, adopt and modify a official Comprehensive
Plan and map for its corporate boundaries and unincorporated areas
within one and one half miles of said boundary; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect has, from time to time,
adopted Comprehensive Plans and Generalized Land Use maps; and
WHEREAS, Kimball Hill, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as Petitioner)
has submitted a request to amend the Official Comprehensive
Plan/Generalized Land Use Map for the 8.76 acre parcel, generally
located at 1000 West Central Road, from I-l(Industrial) to Multi-
Family Residential/Single Family Residential; and
WHEREAS, the Subject ProperEy being the subject of this request for
an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan/Generalized Land Use Plan is
legally described as follows:
The East Half of the Southwest Quarter (except the east
710 feet thereof) of Section 33,Township 42 North, Range
11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, lying South of
the right-of-way of the Chicago and Northwestern Railway,
and excep~ for the East 425 feet of the South 496 feet
thereof in Cook County, Illinois;
and
WHEREAS, as authorized under 65 ILCS 5/11-12-7 of the Illinois
Combined Statutes and pursuant to proper legal notice having been
published in the Mount Prospect Journal and Topics Newspaper on
February 16, 1993, the Plan Commission of the Village of Mount
Prospect did conduct a public hearings on March 25, 1993, for the
purpose of considering an amendment to Official Comprehensive
Plan/Generalized Land Use Map ; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission has submitted its recommendation to
grant the amendment the Official Comprehensive Plan/Generalized
Land Use Map, as requested herein, to the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect have considered the recommendations of the Plan
Commission relative to the proposed amendment to the Official
Comprehensive Plan/Generalized Land Use Map for the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT 7~ND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the Official Comprehensive Plan/Generalized Land
Use Map of the Village of Mount Prospec~ is hereby amended by
designating the above described property as multi-family
residential single family residential.
SECTION TWO: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount
Prospect is hereby directed 5o file a certified copy of this
Ordinance granting said amendment to the Official Comprehensive
Plan/Generalized Land Use Map with the Cook County Recorder of
Deeds, as provided in the Statutes of the State of Illinois.
SECTION THREE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
omprehensive Plan

effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in
pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
