X. OLD BUSINESS A. PZ-20-08, 1808 Hopi Lane nd 1. 2 reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION (SIDE YARD SETBACK) FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1808 HOPI LANE This ordinance grants a variation to allow a one (1) foot side yard set back for an accessory structure. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of the Variation by a vote of 6-0. (This item was deferred until the September 2, 2008 Village Board meeting by a 6-0 vote at the August 5, 2008 Village Board meeting. Petitioner requests additional deferral to September 16, 2008 Village Board meeting.) 2. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR LOT COVERAGE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1808 HOPI LANE This ordinance grants a variation to allow a maximum lot coverage of fifty-five (55%) percent. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended denial of super majority the Variation by a 6-0 vote; adoption of the ordinance requires a vote for approval. (This item was deferred until the September 2, 2008 Village Board meeting by a 6-0 vote at the August 5, 2008 Village Board meeting. Petitioner requests additional deferral to September 16, 2008 Village Board meeting.) XI. NEW BUSINESS A. LEVEE 37 PROJECT st 1. 1 reading of AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT AND (Exhibit B) VILLAGE CLERK TO EXECUTE CERTAIN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENTS PROVIDING FOR FLOOD CONTROL AS PART OF THE US ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS’ UPPER DES PLAINES RIVER FLOOD DAMAGE REDUCTION PROJECT, INCLUDING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT AND THE STATE OF ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES, THE STATE OF ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, AND THE CITY OF PROSPECT HEIGHTS, ILLINOIS This resolution authorizes the Village to enter into Intergovernmental agreements with IDNR, IDOT, and the City of Prospect Heights for the purpose of facilitating the construction of Levee 37. 2. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT TO (Exhibit C) EXECUTE AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE SOLID WASTE AGENCY OF NORTHERN COOK COUNTY (SWANCC) This resolution authorizes the Village to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with SWANCC for acquisition of real estate, for the purpose of facilitating the construction of Levee 37. . B. Exclusive Commercial Solid Waste Services Contract 1. Request Village Board approval to reject commercial solid waste services . proposals 2. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN EXCLUSIVE (Exhibit D) COMMERCIAL SOLID WASTE CONTRACT FOR COMMERCIAL SOLID WASTE SERVICES IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT. This resolution authorizes execution of an exclusive contract for commercial solid waste services in the Village of Mount Prospect. C. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN (Exhibit E) PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT This ordinance allows the Village, as a member of the Northwest Municipal Conference, to participate in a public auction of surplus vehicles, at the Mount Prospect Public Works facility, 1700 West Central Road, on September 20, 2008. XII. VILLAGE MANAGER’S REPORT * A. Request Village Board approval to accept bid for parkway Ash Tree/ Stump Removals contract in an amount not to exceed $37,000. B. STATUS XIII. OTHER BUSINESS XIV.
