ORDINANCE NO. ~3if
AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, on February 4, 1958, the Western National
Bank of Cicero as Trustee under Trust No. 1686, filed with
the Village 9lerk of the Village of Mount Prospect the
following petition:
"TO: THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MT. PROSPECT
PETITION TO ANNEX
Your Petitioner, THE WESTERN NATIONAL BANK OF
CICERO, as Trustee under Trust No. 1686, represents
that it is the owner of record in fee simple, of the
following described land and territory located in the
County of Cook and State of Illinois:
That part lying South of Rand Road of the North-
west Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Seotion
34, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third
Princi pal Meridian, also that part lying South of
Rand Road of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast
Quarter of said Section 34, described as follows: Com-
mencing at the Southwest corner of said Northwest
Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 34,
thence East along the South line of said Northwest
Quarter of the Northeast Quarter for a distance of
575--43 feet for a beginning, thence North along a
line and parallel to the North and South Quarter
line of Section 34, for a distance of 433.58 feet;
thence East along a line and parallel to the South
line of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast
Quarter of Section 34 for a distance of 533.91 feet
to an intersection with the center line of Rand Road,
thence Southeasterly along said center line of Rand
Road for a distance of 85.01 feet to the point of
tangency of a curve, thence continuing Southeasterly
along the said center line of Rand Road being a
curved line convex to the Northeast and having a
radius of 3657.30 feet for a distance of 503.25 feet
to an intersection with the South line of the North-
east Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of said Section
34, thenee West along the South line of said Northeast
Quarter of the Northeast Quarter and the South line
of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter for
a distance of 928.54 feet to the point of beginning
in Cook County, Illinois, containing 7.lel acres more
or less

Your Petitioner further represents:
(1) The above described land and territory is not
within the corporate limits of any municipality;
(2) The above described land and territory is eon-
tiguous to the Village of Mt. Prospect, Illinois;
(3) The above desoribed land and territory has no
electors and inhabitants residing thereon and
therein.
Your Petitioner further represents that contemporan-
eously with the filing of this Petition, your Petitioner
has filed a Petition to Zone said land upon annexation
as follows:
Parcels 1 and 2, for that of business
Parcel 3 - "R-3
Your Petitioner further represents that this Petition
for Annexation is filed subject to the granting of the
Petition to so zone said property, and that in the event
the Village shall decline to so zone said property, then
this Petition shall be likewise denied, or withdrawn.
Your Petitioner further represents and agrees that in
the event the Village shall see fit to zone said land in
accordance with the Petition to Zone, and said land is so
zoned, that this Petition for Annexation will not be with-
drawn by your Petitioner and your Petitioner will proceed
diligently to perform all acts necessary to cause a legal
and proper annexation to the Village of Mt. Prospect to be
made of said land.
WHEREFORE, your Petitioner prays that said above
desoribed land and territory be annexed to and become a
part of the Village of Mt. Prospect, Cook County, Illinois.

deposes and says that he is the duly authorized agent
of the Western National Bank of Cicero, as Trustee
under Trust No. 1686, Petitioner in the foregoing
Petition to Annex, that he has read the above and fore-
going Petition by him subscribed, knows the contents
thereof and the same is true in substance and fact.

WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect have considered the question of
annexation of the territory described in said Petition; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect have independently determined that
said property, as desoribed in the aforesaid Petition, is
not within the corporate limits of any municipality, that
no electors reside thereon, and that it is contiguous to the
present Village limits of the Village of Mount Prospect,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK
COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That the following described property:
That part lying South of Rand Road of the North-
west Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section
34, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, also that part lying South of
Rand Road of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast
Quarter of s aid Section 34, described as follows: Com-

Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Seetion 34,
thence East along the South line of said Northwest
Quarter of the Northeast Quarter for a distance of

East along a line and parallel to the South line of
the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of
Section 34 for a distance of 533.91 feet to an inter-
section with the center line of Rand Road, thence
Southeasterly along said center line of Rand Road
for a distance of 8~Ol feet to the point of tangency
of a curve, thence continuing Southeasterly along the
said center line of Rand Road being a curved line
convex to the Northeast and having a radius of 3657.30
feet for a distance of 503.25 feet to an intersection
with the South line of the Northeast Quarter of the
Northeast Quarter of said Section 34, thence West along
the South line of said Northeast Quarter of the North-
east Quarter and the South line of the Northwest Quarter
of the Northeast Quarter for a distance of 929.54 feet
to the point of beginning in Cook County, Illinois,
containing 7.181 acres more or less,
be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Mount Pros-
pect, Cook County, Illinois, pursuant to the provisions of
Section 7-6(a) of the Cities and Villages Act as amended.
Section 2: That this ordinanoe shall be effective upon
its passage and approval according to law.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk of the Village of
Mount Prospect is hereby authorized and directed to record
with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois, a certi-
fied copy of this Ordinance, together with an accurate map
of the territory annexed, attached hereto and made a part
hereof.
