AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX CERTAIN TEHRITORY
TO THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK
.____ COUNTY, ILLINOIS
viHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village
of I'~ount Prospect have determined that it is in the public
interest of the Village of' fJIount Prospect and its residents
that certain contiguous territory, hereinafter described,
should be annexed, in the interests of public safety and
welfare, to the said Village in ordcl' to effectively control
automobile traffic on streets and l1ighvmys, part of which
a:.'e already annexed to and wi thin the said Village limi ts;
and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Vi~lage
of Mount Prospect find that the following described terri-
tory 1s contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect and is
dedicated or used for highway purposes, and that no part
thereof is within any other municipality:
The South 33 feet of the Southeast Quarter' of
the Southeast Quarter of Section 28 and the
South 50 feet of the Southwest Quarter of the
Southwest Quarter of Section 27, Township 42
North, Range 11 East of the 3rd Principal
f.1er'idian, Also that part of the South half of
Section 27 and the North half of Section 34,
Township 42 North, Range 11 East of the 3rd
Principal Meridian, described as follows;
Conunencing at the Southwest corner of the
Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of
said Section 27; thence East along the South
line of the Southwest Quarter of Section 27y
1315.60 feet to the Southeast corner of said
Southwest Quarter of Section 2'( and the North-
"lest corner of the Northeast Quarter of sald
Section 34; thence South along the West line
of the Northeast Quarter of Section 34, 1319.50
feet to the Southwest corner of the Nortl1\'-lest
Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of said Sec-

33 feet North of and parallel with the South

Section 1: That the following described property
which is contiguous to the Village of I\10unt Prospect and is
dedicated or used for highway purposes, and no part of \'lhich
