AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE OF
MOUNT PROSPECT ZONING ORDINANCE AS
AMENDED

vlliEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village
of Mount Prospect on the 1/11; day Of~/t-{"~" , 1958,
annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect the following-
described property:
The West Half (1/2) of the Southeast Quarter
(1/4) of Section 27, Town 42 North, Range 11,
East of the Third Principal Meridian, in
Cook County, Illinois, except that part lying
East of a line drawn from a point in the North
line of West Half (1/2) of Southeast Quarter
(1/4) aforesaid, 13.50 feet West o.f the North-
east corner thereof to a point 2309.80 feet
south of said North line and 9.0 feet West of
the east line of said West Half (1/2) of the
Southeast Quarter (1/4) and also except that
part of said tract lying in Euclid Avenue,
Elmhurst Road, Foundry Road and that part ly-
ing Southerly and Westerly of the Northeasterly
line of the right of way of Rand Road, in Cook
County, Illinois.

vlliEREAS, in connection with the annexation of said
property and in the interests of public welfare, safety and
health of the residents of the Village of Mount Prospect the
corporate authorities of the said Village deemed it necessary
to determine the proper zoning to be applied to said property
when so annexed; and
vlliEREAS, a Notice of Public Hearing with respect to
the question of establishing zoning of the aforesaid property
was duly published in the Mount Prospect Herald, a newspaper
of general circulation in the Village of Mount Prospect; and
ifHEREAS, a Public hearing was held by the Board of
Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect in the Village Hall
in the Village of Mount Prospect on the 3rd day of October,
1955, at the hour of 8:00 P. M. pursuant to the provisions of

the aforesaid Public Notice, and all persons who desired to
be heard were heard, and an opportunity given to all persons
who desired to make remonstrances and objections with refer-
ence thereto; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Appeals of the Village of
Mount Prospect, subsequent to said Public Hearing, recommended
by letter dated October 13, 1958, that if said property be
annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect the aforesaid property
be zoned in accordance with their recommendation and thereafter
upon further consideration of said matter by a proper committee
of the Board of Trustees of said Village, the corporate author-
ities of the Village of Mount Prospect do hereby find that it
is in the public interest and will aid and promote the public
safety, health and welfare of the residents of the Village of
Mount Prospect to zone the property as hereinafter set forth:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That an ordinance entitled, II An Ordinance
classifyingl regulating and restricting the location of trades
and industries and the location of buildings designed for spe-
cified uses; regulating and limiting the height and bulk of
buildings hereafter erected or altered, regulating and limit-
ing the intensity of the use of lot areas and regulating and
determining the area of yards, courts and other open spaces
within and surrounding such buildings; establishing the boun-
daries of districts for said purposes; and prescribing penalties
for the violation of its provisions" passed and approved Decem-
ber 4, 1923 and amendments thereto (and known as Ordinance No.
52) as amended, be further amended by classifying the following
described real estate as a B-3 District:

The West Half (1/2) of the Southeast Quarter
(1/4) of Section 27, Town 42 North, Range 11,
East of the Third Principal Meridian, in
Cook County, Illinois, except that part lying
East of a line drawn from a point in the North
line of West Half (1/2) of Southeast Quarter
(1/4) aforesaid, 13.50 feet West of the North-
east corner thereof to a point 2369.80 feet
south of said North line and 9.0 feet West of
the east line of said West Half (1/2) of the
Southeast Quarter (1/4) and also except that
part of said tract lying in Euclid Avenue,
Elmhurst Road, Foundry Road and that part ly-
ing Southerly and Westerly of the Northeasterly
line of the right of way of Rand Road, in Cook
County, Illinois.
Section 2: That the Zoning Plan of the Village of
Mount Prospect as amended, be and the same is hereby amended
to conform to the above change.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication according to law.
Section 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordi-
nances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby re-
pealed, reserving however, to the Village of Mount Prospect any
rights which have accrued to it against any person, firm or
corporation under any ordinance or sections of said Zoning
Ordinance which may be and are hereby repealed.
