1959 ELECTION ORDINANCE FOR THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT~ COOK
COUNTY, STATE OF ILLINOIS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT~ COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That there shall be a regular
election of officers in the Village on the 21st day of
April, 1959.
Section 2: At such election there shall be
elected the following officers:
Village Clerk (unexpired term, two years)
Three (3) Village Trustees for a four-
year term
Two (2) Library Directors for a six-year
term
Section 3: At least fifteen (15) but not more
than thirty (30) days before the election the Clerk shall
cause to be published in the Mount Prospect Herald, a news-
paper published in the Village of Mount Prospect, a Notice
of Election which shall be substantially as follows:
NOTICE OF ELECTION
On the 21st day of April, 1959~ there will be a
regular election in the Village of Mount Prospect
to elect:
A Village Clerk (unexpired term, two years)
Three (3) Village Trustees for four-year terms
Two (2) Library Directors for a six year term
The precincts and polling places for such election
shall be:
PRECINCT 1 - Polling Place: Central School
Emerson Street and
Central Road at S.E.
lower entrance
Mount Prospect, Illinois
which includes all that part of the Village lying
northerly of the center line of Central Road, in-
cluding the Central School property located at Main~
Central and Emerson.

PRECINCT 2 - Polling Place: Village Hall
112 E. Northwest Highway
Mount Prospect~ Illinois
comprising that part of the village bounded by the
center line of Central Road on the north, Mount Pros-
pect Road on the east and Northwest Highway on the
southwest, excluding the Central School property
located at Main, Central and Emerson.
PRECINCT 3 - Polling Place: st. Raymond's School
Elmhurst Ave. at Milburn Ave.
Mount Prospect, Illinois
comprlslng all that part of the village lying southwes-
terly of the center line of the Northwest Highway and
south of the center line of that portion of Central Road
lying West of its intersection with the Northwest Highway.
Polls shall be open from 6:00 A.M. to b:OO P.M. Central
Standard Time. .
Published by order of the President and Board of Trustees.

Section 4: The precincts or voting districts for
such election and the polling places shall be those desig-
nated in the preceding section.
Section 5: The following be and they are hereby
designated and appointed to act as Judges at said election:

Section 6: The ballot to be used at such election
shall be in the form prescribed by statute and it shall be
the duty of the Village Clerk to see to the preparation of
the official ballots for the election, and to cause a sam-
pIe of such ballot to be published prior to the day of elec-
tion in a newspaper of general circulation published in the
Village, and to provide the necessary election supplies for
each voting district or precinct.
Section 7: Said election and all matters pertain-
ing thereto shall be conducted in the manner prescribed by
statute for the conduct of a regular election for village
officers.
