AN ORDINANCE TO Af1END THE VILLAGE OF
MOUNT PROSPECT ZONING ORDINANCE AS
AMENDED BY ADDING A NEW USE DISTRICT
ivrlEREAS, a Notice of Public Hearing with respect
to the question of amending the Village of Mount Prospect
Zoning Ordinance as amended by adding thereto a new Use
District to be entitled, IlG District Golf Clubll was duly
published in the Mount Prospect Herald, a newspaper of
general circulation in the Village of Mount Prospectj and
vn-IEREAS, a public hearing was held by the Board
of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect in the Village
Hall in the Village of l\1ount Prospect on the 15th day of
May, 1959 at the hour of 8:00 P.M. pursuant to the provi-
sions of the afore3aid public notice, and all persons who
desired to be heard were heara and an opportunity given to
all per~3ons who desired to make remonstrances and obj ections
with reference thereto; and
~~lEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village
of Mount Prospect, having further considered this matter,
have determined that it is in the best interests of the
Village of Mount Prospect to adopt said amendments and that
said amendments will promote the public health, safety, and
general welfare of the residents of said Village,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT OHDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT
AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF 'rHE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK
COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That an ordinance entitled, IlAn Ordi-
nance classifying, regulating and restricting the location
of trades and industries and the location of buildings dc-
signed for specified uces; regulating and limiting the
height and bulk of buildings hereafter erected or altered,
regulating and limiting the intensity of the use of lot areas

and regulating and determining the area of yards, courts and
other open spaces within and surrounding such buildings;
establishing the boundaries of districts for said purposes;
and prescribing penalties for the violation of itsprovisionsll
passed and approved December 4, 1923 and amendments thereto
(and known as Ordinance No. 52) as amended, be and the same
is further amended by amending Section 3, which said Section
3 shall hereafter be as follows:
IlSection 3 Districts. For purposes of this
ordinance, all land within the Village of Mount
Prospect is hereby divided into the following dis-
tricts, (listed in order fDOm the most highly re-
stricted class to the least highly restricted
class) designated as follows:
R-X District - Single-family residence
R-l District - Single-family residence
R-2 District - Duplex Residence
R-3 District - Apartment Residence
G District - Golf Club
B-1 District - Business-Shopping Center
B-2 District - Business-Office
B-3 District - Business-Retail and Service
P-l District - Off-street Parking - Paved
P-2 District - Off-street Parking - Paved - For Fee
P-3 District - Off-street Parking - Unpaved
p-4 District - Off-street Parking - Unpaved - For Fee
1-1 District - Light Industrial
1-2 District - Railroad
The boundaries of such districts are hereby
established as shown on the Zoning Plan, which ac-
companies and is hereby made a part of this ordi-
nance. Any land whose classification is not shown
thereon and land hereafter annexed to the Village
of Mount Prospect is hereby classified as in the
R-l District until differently classified by amend-
ment of this ordinance. An official copy of the
Zoning Plan as amended from time to time shall be
maintained and exhibited in the office of the Vil-
lage Clerk.1I
Section 2: That the aforesaid Zoning Ordinance
shall be further amended by adding the following section:
IISection 7.4 G District. In the G District
the only uses which may hereafter be established
are:
1. Golf Club including golfcourse and clubhouse
with a portion of the area to include paved
off-street parking area of such parking space

as the Village Board of Trustees, after re-
ceiving recommendation of the Plan Commission,
shall deem to be adequate for employees, mem-
bers, spectators, visitors and others."
Section 3: That this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval
according to law.
Section 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordi-
nances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby re-
pealed, reserving however, to the Village of Mount Prospect
any rights which have accrued to it against any person, firm
or corporation under any ol'dinance or sections of ::mid Zoning
Ordinance which may be and are hereby repealed.
