AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FROM THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT ZONING ORDINANCE
AS AMENDED
WHEREAS, a Notice of Public Hearing on the question
of granting a variation on the use of the following-described
property:
That part of Lots 3, 2 & 4 (except the E.
100 ft. of Lots 3, 2 & 4, as measured at
rt. angles to E. line of said lots 3, 2 &
4) in B1. 2 in F. Serafine's 3rd Addition,
a sub. in the SW~ of Sec. 35, Twp. 42 N.,
R. 11 EPM and known as 916 Rand Road, Mt.
Prospect,
was duly published in the Mount Prospect Herald, a newspaper
of general circulation in the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the Board of
Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect in the Village Hall
on the 29th day of January, 1960, at the hour of 8:00 P. M.,
and all persons who desired to be heard were heard and an
opportunity given to all persons who desired to make remon-
strances and objections with reference thereto; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Appeals of the Village of
Mount Prospect, subsequent to said hearing, recommended that
a variation not be granted; and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village
of Mount Prospect, after considering the matter as aforesaid,
DO HEREBY FIND AS FOLLOWS:
1. The petitioner and owner of said property is
A1edron Realty Company, Inc.
2. That the aforesaid property is now zoned in the
P-3 District and pursuant to said district the installation

of a sign in said parking area is not permitted.
3. The applicant's petition is for the purpose of
permitting the erection of a sign in a parking area.
4. That the public interests of the Village of
Mount Prospect will be enhanced by permitting a variation
from the Zoning Ordinance to erect and maintain a sign in the
parking area as petitioned for,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED By the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook
County, Illinois:
Section 1: That there is hereby granted for the
following-described property the right to erect and maintain
a sign on said property:
That part of Lots 3, 2 & 4 (except the E.
lOO ft. of Lots 3, 2 & 4, as measured at
rt. angles to E. line of said lots 3, 2 &
4) in B1. 2 in F. Serafine I s 3rd Addition,
a sub. in the SW~ of Sec. 35, Twp. 42 N.,
R. 11 EPM and known as 916 Rand Road, Mt.
Prospect.
Section 2: That the Zoning Plan of the Village of
Mount Prospect as amended, be and the same is hereby amended
to modify and conform to the instant variation.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication according to law.
Section 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordi-
nances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby re-
pealed, reserving however, to the Village of Mount Prospect
any rights which have accrued to it against any person, firm

or corporation under any ordinances or sections of the Zoning
Ordinance which may be and are hereby repealed.
