ORDINANCE NO. 71(
AN ORDINANCE AlY1ENDING THE VILLAGE OF
MOUNT PROSPECT ZONING ORDINANCE AS
AlvfENDED
WHEREAS, a Notice of Public Hearing with respect
to the question of rezoning the following-described pro-
perty from R-1 (Residential) District to B-3 (Business)
District use:
Lots 38, 39, 40 & 41 in Block 22, in Re-
sub. of Lot 7 in Block 21, Lots 12 to 19,
both inclusive, in Block 22 and Lots 12
and 13 in Block 23 in Busse1s Eastern
Addition to Mount Prospect in the East
Half of Sec. 12, Township 41 North, Range
11, East of the Third Principal Meridian.
Property at Northwest corner of Edward
Street and Northwest Highway,
was duly published in the Mount Prospect Herald, a newspaper
of general circulation in the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Board
of Appeals of the Village of r10unt Prospect in the Village
Hall in the Village of Mount Prospect on the 29th day of
January, 1960, at the hour of 8:00 P.M. pursuant to the pro-
visions of the aforesaid public notice, and all persons who
desired to be heard were heard and an opportunity given to
all persons who desired to make remonstrances and objections
with reference thereto; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Appeals of the Village of
Mount Prospect, subsequent to said public hearing, recom-
mended that the aforesaid property be rezoned as hereinafter
specified; and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village
of Mount Prospect, having further considered this matter,

have determined that the property hereinafter described should
be rezoned as hereinafter specified in the public interest of
the Village of Mount Prospect,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK
COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That an ordinance entitled, "An Ordi-
nance classifying, regulating and restricting the location
of trades and industries and the location of buildings de-
signed for specified uses; regulating and limiting the height
and bulk of buildings hereafter erected or altered, regu1at-
ing and limiting the intensity of the use of lot areas and
regulating and determining the area of yards, courts and
other open spaces within and surrounding such buildings;
establishing the boundaries of districts for said purposes,
and prescribing penalties for the violation of its provisionsll
passed and approved December 4, 1923 and amenronents thereto
(and known as Ordinance No. 52) as amended, be further
amended by reclassifying the following-described real estate
from R-1 (Residential) to B-3 (Business) District use:
Lots 38, 39, 40 & 41 in Block 22, in Resub.
of Lot 7 in Block 21, Lots 12 to 19, both inclu-
sive, in Block 22 and Lots 12 and 13 in Block 23
in Busse's Eastern Addition to Mount Prospect in
the East Half of Sec. 12, Township 41 North, Range
11, East of the Third Principal Neridian. Pro-
perty at Northwest corner of Edward Street and
Northwest Highway.
Section 2: That the Zoning Plan of the Village of
r'1ount Prospect as amended, be and the same is hereby amended
to conform to the above change.

Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval
according to law.
Section 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordi-
nances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby re-
pealed, reserving however, to the Village of Mount Prospect
any rights which have accrued to it against any person, firm
or corporation under any ordinances or sections of said
Zoning Ordinance which may be and are hereby repealed.
