AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX CERTAIN TERRITORY
TO THE VILLAGE OF flOUNT PROSPECT, COOK
COUNTY, ILLINOIS
\I1HEREAS, on the t, ctday of ([) f!.-.~:,,-, , 1960, a
petition was filed with the Village Clerk of the Village of
Mount Prospect to annex the property hereinafter described;
and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Nount Prospect have considered the question
of annexation of the territory described in said petition;
and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Mount Prospect have independently determined
that said property as described in the aforesaid petition
is not within the corporate limits of any municipality, that
it is contiguous to the present Village limits of the Village
of Mount Prospect, and that the aforesaid petitioner consti-
tutes the owner of record of all the land described in the
aforesaid petition and that no electors reside on said land,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOm~T PROSPECT, COOK
COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That the following-described property:
That part of the Northwest quarter of the South-
west quarter of Section 35, Township 42 North, Range
11 East of the Third Principal heridian described as
follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of the
Northwest quarter of the Southwest quarter of said
Section 35; thence North, on the East line of the
Northwest quarter of the Southwest quarter, a dis-
tance of 429.86 feet; thence West, on a line paral-
lel with the South line of the Northwest quarter of
the Southwest quarter, a distance of 1136.88 feet, to
the center line of Rand Road; thence Southeasterly,
along the center line of Rand Road, a distance of

496.98 feet, to the South line of the Northwest
quarter of the Southwest quarter; thence East, a
distance of 889.90 feet, to the place of beginning

be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Mount
Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, pursuant to the provisions
of Section 7-6(a) of the Cities and Villages Act as amended.
Section 2: That this ordinance shall be effective
upon its passage and approval according to law.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk of the Village
of Mount Prospect is hereby authorized and directed to re-
cord with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois, a
certified copy of this ordinance, together with an accurate
map of the territory annexed, attached hereto and made a
part hereof.
