AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING SALE OF CER-
TAIN PROPERTY OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT
PROSPECT~ COOK COUNTY~ ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village
of Mount Prospect have determined that the property herein-
after described is no longer necessary, appropriate, useful
to, profitable to, or for the best interests of the Village
of Mount Prospect; and
I~REAS, the corporate authorities find it in the
best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect to sell, and
have rezoned, from the real estate commonly identified as 20
South Emerson Street, Mount Prospect, Illinois, the two (2)
story residential building and one (1) car garage located on
the property legally described as follows:
Lot ten (10) in Block four (4) in Busse
and Wille's Resubdivision in Mount Pros-
pect in the West Half (1/2) of Section
12, Township 41 North, Range 11, East
of the Third Principal Meridian,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK
COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That a sale of the property described
in Section 2 hereof be and the same is hereby directed to be
made under terms and conditions meeting the approval of the
corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, in
accordance with the statutes of the State of Illinois.
Section 2: That the Clerk of the Village of
Mount Prospect be and he is hereby directed to cause a public
notice advertising for bids for such property to be published
once each week for three successive weeks in the Mount Pros-
pect Herald, and said notice shall be in substantially the

"PUBLIC NOTICE OF ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
ON SALE OF VILLAGE PROPERTY
Public notice is hereby given that pursuant
to the provisions of Ill. Rev. Stat. (1959), Ch.
24, Art. 59, a!}.d in accord with Ordinance No. ~
duly adopted ~~, '1 ' 1961, by the corpor-
ate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect,
Cook County, Illinois, sealed bids for the pur-
chase of the two (2) story frame building located
at 20 South Emerson Street, Mount Prospect, Illi-
nois, including the screens, storm windows, coal
furnace, plumbing facilities as are presently
available, and also including a one (1) car frame
garage located at said location, will be received
at the office of the Village Clerk, Village of
Mount Prospect, Village Hall, 112 East Northwest
Highway, Nount Prospect, Illinois, until g! dCJ
P.M. on' . r~.:R ~ , 1961, and that all said
sealed ~~~eceived shall thereupon be opened
at a regular meeting of the Village Board of the
Village of Mount Prospect at its regular meeting
place, 112 East Northwest Highway, Mount Prospect,
Illinois, at 8:00 P.M. on ~ ~ ' 1961.
Bids shall be based on emoval of said build-
ings from the aforesaid location at the sole cost
and complete responsibility of the successful
bidd~ The said successful bidder shall also
obtain the necessary permit and pay, in addition
to the bid amount, the fee for moving buildings
in accordance with the Mount Prospect Building
Code of 1957.
This bid shall not be construed to be for any
real estate located at the aforesaid address.
All bids must be accompanied by a cashier's
or certified check made payable to the Treasurer
of the Village of Mount Prospect in the sum of at
Rest 10% of the bid as a guarantee of good faith,
and for security for the performance of such bid,
and as liquidated damages to the Village in case
a successful bidder fails to tender to the Village
the consideration specified in the bid within 30
days after said bid is accepted.
The corporate authorities of the Village of
Mount Prospect reserve the right to reject any or
all bids and to waive informalities in the bids and
bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn after the open-
ing of bids for a period of 30 days from the date of
bid opening without the consent of such corporate
authorities. The making of any award is in the dis-
cretion of said corporate authorities.

Section 3: That bids received in response to said
advertisements for bids shall be opened at the regular meet-
ing of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect in the Village Hall in the Village of Mount

Section 4: That within thirty (30) days after a
bid is accepted, the successful bidder shall tender to the
Village the consideration specified in the bid accepted and
permit fee and upon receipt of such consideration and the
issuance of the moving permit the President and Clerk of
the Village of Mount Prospect shall thereupon cause the
necessary legal papers to be issued in the name of the said
Village to the successful bidder for the buildings success-
fully bid upon.
Section 5: That this Ordinance shall take effect
from and after its passage and adoption as provided by law.
