AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FRON
THE VILLAGE OF MOm~T PROSPECT ZONING
ORD INANCE AS AHEl'IDED
H11EREAS, a Notice of Public Hearing on the question
of granting a variation on the use of the following-described
property:
Lot 1 in Gleich's Industrial Park, being
a subdivision of part of the W. 1/2 of the
N.E. 1/4 and part of the W. 1/2 of the S.E. 1/4
of Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 11 East
of the 3rd Principal Heridian, in Cook County,
Illinois
was duly published in the Mount Prospect Herald, a newspaper
of general circulation in the Village of Nount Prospect; and
v~1EREAS, a public hearing was held by the Board of
Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect in the Village Hall
on the 24th day of February, 1961, at the hour of 8:00 P.M.,
and all persons who desired to be heard were heard and an
opportunity given to all persons who desired to make remon-
strances and objections with reference thereto; and
1~1EREAS, the Board of Appeals of the Village of
Mount Prospect, subsequent to said hearing, recommended that
a variation be granted and find that:
1. Petitioner is the contract purchaser of the
property subject to the granting of rezoning and that if re-
zoning is granted title will be in the name of W-G Sales
Corporation.
2. That the aforesaid property is now zoned 1-1
(Industrial) District.
3. The applicant's petition is for a variation
to erect a building for non-manufacturing purposes and to

be used as a field engineering and sales representative
office for pulp and paper mill equipment.
4. That the granting of the variation will not
impair an adequate supply of light and air to adjacent pro-
perty, increase the congestion in the public streets unrea-
sonably, increase the hazard of fire, endanger the public
safety, diminish or impair the value of property within the
surrounding areas, nor in any other respect impair the pub-
lic health, safety, comfort, morals or welfare of the commun-
ity; and
1~1EREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village
of Mount Prospect believe it would be in the public interest
of the Village of Mount Prospect to grant a variation as to
24,016 square feet (more particularly described hereinafter)
for the purpose of the proposed use with the specific under-
standing that the building shall be used for industrial
office purposes only and shall not include professional
offices, and that all limitations of the 1-1 District use
shall apply,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT
AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT,
COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That there is hereby granted for the
following-described property the right to erect abuilding
by W-G Sales Corporation for industrial office use and not
to be used for professional offices on the following-
described premises:

That portion of Lot 1 in Gleich's Indus-
trial Park, being a subdivision of part of the
w. 1/2 of the N.E. 1/4 and part of the W. 1/2
of the S.E. 1/4 of Section 12, Township 41
North, Range 11 East of the 3rd Principal
Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois, beginning
as follows: Commencing at the N.W. corner of
said Lot 1, thence running Southeasterly 138',
thence Southerly parallel with the western line
of said Lot 1 for a distance of 203.85' to the
southern line of said Lot 1, thence Northwesterly
along said South line a distance of 138.00',
thence North along the western line of said Lot
1 a distance of 203.85' to the point of begin-
ning.
Section 2: That all limitations of the 1-1 Use
District shall apply to the aforesaid property and any
buildings constructed thereon.
Section 3: That the Zoning Plan of the Village
of Nount Prospect, as amended, be and the same is hereby
amended to modify and conform to the instant variation.
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication according to law.
Section 5: That all ordinances or parts of ordi-
nances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby re-
pealed, reserving however, to the Village of Mount Prospect
any rights which have accrued to it against any person,
firm or corporation under any ordinances or sections of the
Zoning Ordinance which may be and are hereby repealed.
