OEDINANCE NO. 7 ~ e
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS TO THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT F:HOSPECT, COOK COUNTY J ILLINOIS
Wh~REAS a written petition has been filed with the
Village Clerk of ~he Village of Mount Prospect by the MOUNT PROS-
PECT BIBLE CHURCH OF ILLINOIS, a religious corporation, being the
sole owner of record of the hereinafter described land and terri-
tory, for annexation to the Village of Mount Prospect, and there
being no electors residing thereon, and
WHEREAS, said land and territory is not within the cor-
porate limits of any municipality, but is contiguous to the Vil-
lage of Mount Prospect and is uninhabited, and
WHEREAS, said petition is under oath and in all respects
complies with the statutes in such case made and provided, and
WflliREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect have examined such petition, have con-
sidered the question of the annexation of the territory described
in said petition and believe it to be to the best interests of the
Village of Mount Prospect that said territory be annexed to said
Village;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County,
III ino is :
Section 1. That the land and territory described in
said petition, towit:
A portion of the East half of the Northeast quarter of
Section 14, Township hl North, Range 11 East of the
Third Principal Meridian, Cook County, Illinois, de-
scribed more particularly as follows:
Beginning at a point on the South line of the East half
of the Northeast quarter of Section 14, Town 41 North,
Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian, said
point being 854.70 feet West of a stone at the South-
east corner of said quarter, thence running West along
the South line of said quarter to the Southwest corner
of said East half; thence North along the West line of
said East half to the center of Public Road (at a
point 33 feet North of Split Field Stone, 20 inches
long); thence East along the center of said road to a
point 854.7 feet West of the East line of said North-
east quarter (said 854.7 feet to be measured along the
center of said road); and thence South 1016.4 feet to
the place of beginning (excepting therefrom that part
thereof lying West of a line running North on a course forming a
deflection angle to the right with the South line of
said East half of the Northeast quarter of Section 14
aforesaid of 910 03' 48", which said line commences at
a point on the South line of said East half of the
Northeast q~arter of Section 14 aforesaid 1079.32 feet
West of the Southeast corner of said Northeast quarter
of Section 14 aforesaid.)

which territ~ry is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect,
is not embraced thereon, is uninhabited and is unincorporated, be
and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect
so that hereafter said territory shall be included within the
boundary lines of the Village of Mount Prospect, and is by law in
such case made and provided.
Section 2. That the Village Clerk of the Village of
Mount Prospect is hereby directed to record a certified copy of
this ordinance together with an accurate map of said annexed ter-
ritory with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval according to
law.
