ORDINANCE No. 771
AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX CERTAIN LAND SITUATED AT
RAND ROAD AND FOUNDRY ROADS TO THE VILLaGE OF
MOUNT PROSPECT
WHEREAS, a written petition has been filed with the Vil-
lage Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect by the Western National
Bank of Cicero as Trustee under Trust No. 2363, and Charles R. Bart-
man, being the sole owners of record of the hereinafter described
land and territory, for annexation to the Village of Mount Prospect,
and
WHEREAS. said land and territory is not within the corpo-
rate limits of any municipality but is contiguous to the Village
of Mount': Prospect. is uninhabited and has no electors residing
thereon. and
WHEREAS. said petition is under oath and in all respects
complies with the requirements of the statutes in such cases made
and provided. and
WHEREAS. the President and Board of Trustees of the Vil-
lage of Mount Prospect have examined said petition. have con-
sidered the question of annexation of the territory described
therein. and believe it to be to the best interests of the munici-
pality that such territory be in fact annexed thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT ORDAINED by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect. Cook County.
Illinois:
Section 1: That all lands and territories described in
said petition. towit:
That part of the East half of the Southwest quarter of Section 27.
Township 42 North. Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian.
lying South of the center line of Rand Road. described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of the East half of the South-
west quarter of said Section 27; thence East along the South line
of the Southwest quarter of said Section 27 for a distance of
758.61 feet; thence North on a line forming an angle of 90 degrees
40 minutes 40 seconds. as measured from Vlest to North. with the
South line of the Southwest quarter. for a distance of 487.35
feet; thence East along a line which makes an angle of 90 degrees
58 minutes, as measured from South to East, with the last de-
scribed line. for a distance of 253.93 feet to the center line of
Rand Road; thence Northwesterly along the center line of Rand
Road for a distance of 298.34 feet to a point of-commencement of a
curve; thence Northwesterly along a curve having a radius of
15.626.10 feet and eeing convex to the Southwest for a distance of
725.96 feet; thence Southwesterly along a line which makes an
angle of 98 degrees 10 minutes with the last described line, mea-
sured from Southeast to Southwest. for a distance 316.80 feet;
thence West aloBg a line which makes an angle of 216 degrees 35
minutes, measured from Northeast to West, with the last described
line, for a distance of 33 feet to an intersection with the West
line of the East half of the Southwest quarter of said Section 27~
Township 42 North. Range 11. East of the Third Principal Meridian;

thence South along said West line of the East half of the South
west quarter for a distance of 1,043.13 feet to the place of be-
ginning (excepting from the above described premises that part of
the South 33 feet thereof which lies West of the East 200 feet
thereof and also excepting the South 33 feet of the East 200 feet
thereof. and that part thereof taken for Rand Road), Cook County
Illinois.
which territory is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect.
is not embraced therein. is uninhabited and contains no electors
residing thereof. and is unincorporated, be and the same is hereby
annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect. Cook County, Illinois.
so that hereafter said territory shall be included within the
boundary lines and limits of said Village, as is by law in such
cases made and provided.
Section 2. That the Village Clerk of the Village of
Mount Prospect is hereby directed to record a certified copy of
this ordinance together with an accurate map of said annexed
territory with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, IllinoiS.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval, according to
law.
PASSED this 1st day of August. 1961.
