PROCLAMATION
"Week of the Young Child"
April 1 — 7, 2023
WHEREAS, the Mount Prospect Child Care Center Inc. and other local
organizations, in conjunction with the National Association for the
Education of Young Children, are celebrating the Week of the Young Child,
April 1 -7, 2023; and
WHEREAS, these organizations are working to improve early
learning opportunities, including early literacy programs, that can
provide a foundation of learning for children in Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, teachers and others who make a difference in the lives of young
children in the Village of Mount Prospect deserve thanks and recognition; and
WHEREAS, public policies that support early learning for all young children
are crucial to young children's futures;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Paul Wm. Hoefert, Mayor of the Village of Mount
Prospect, do hereby proclaim April 1-7, 2023 as the
"WEEK OF THE YOUNG CHILD"
in the Village of Mount Prospect and I urge all individuals to recognize and
support the needs of young children in ours and neighboring communities.
