AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE FOR "CIRCUIT CITY"
LOCATED WITHIN THE RANDHURST SHOPPING CENTER,
999 NORTH ELMHURST ROAD, MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, Circuit City (hereinafter referred to as Petitioner) has
filed a petition for a Special Use with respect to property located
within the Randhurst Shopping Center, 999 North Elmhurst Road
(hereinafter referred to as Subject Property), and legally
described as follows:
The West half of the Southeast quarter of Section 27,
Township 42 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal
Meridian (except that part thereof falling in a 100.0
foot strip conveyed to the County of Cook by deed
recorded May 6, 1941 as Document No. 12674702 and filed
May 6, 1941 as Document No. L.R. 895623, the center
line of which is described as follows: Beginning at
the, Northwest corner 'of the-Southeast quarter of
Section 27, aforesaid; thence East along the North
line of said Southeast quarter, a distance of 550.0
feet to a point of curve;, thence in a generally
Easterly direction along a curved line tangent to said
North line of the Southeast quarter. Convexed
Northerly and having a radius of 24,555.35 feet. A
distance of 1028.57 feet to a point of tangency; thence
in a generally Easterly direction along a straight
line. Tangent to the last described curved line. A
distance of 165.03 feet to a point of curve; thence in
a generally Easterly direction along a curved line
tangent to the last described straight line. Convexed
Southerly and having a radius of 24,555.35 feet, for a
distance of 1028.57 feet.)

thereof, of the East half of the Southeast quarter of
Section 27, Township 42 North. Range 11 East of the
Third Principal Meridian (except that part thereof
falling in a 100.0 foot strip conveyed to the County

No. 1277139. The center line of which is described as
follows; Beginning at the Northwest corner of the
Southeast quarter of Section 27, aforesaid: thence
East along the North line of said Southeast quarter, a
distance of 550.0 feet to a point of curve; thence in
a generally Easterly direction signs a curved line
tangent is said North line of the Southeast quarter,
convexed Northerly, and having a radius of 24,555.35
feet. A distance of 1028.57 feet to a point of
tangency; thence in a generally Easterly direction
along a straight line tangent to the last described
curved line, a distance of 165.03 feet to a point of
curve; thence in a generally Easterly direction along
a curved line tangent to the last described straight
line. Convexed Southerly and having a radius of
24,555.35 feet, for a distance of 1028.57 feet and
also except the North 70.0 feet of the West 70.0 feet
of the South 120.0 feet of said East half of the
Southeast quarter of Section 27) all in Cook County,
Illinois.

WHEREAS, Petitioner seeks a Special Use as required in Section
14.2001.C.5 to allow the installation of a roof-mounted satellite
antenna in a B-3 (Business Retail and Service) District; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the request for Special Use,
being the subject of ZBA 60-SU-93, before the Zoning Board of
Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect on the 15th day of July,
1993, pursuant to proper legal notice having been published in the
Mount Prospect Herald on the 29th day of June, 1993; and
WHE~, the Zoning Board of Appeals has submitted its findings and
recommendations to the President and Board of Trustees to grant the
Special Use being the subject of ZBA 60-SU-93; and
WHE~, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect have given consideration to the request herein and
have determined that the same meets the standards of the Village
and that granting the Special Use requested in ZBA 60-SU-93 would
be in the best interest of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: The recitals set forth hereinabove are incorporated
as findings of fact by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect.
SECTION TWO: The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect do hereby grant a Special Use to the subject
property to permit a roof-mounted satellite antenna.
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet
form in the manner provided by law.
