JANONIS FROM: PROJECT ENGINEER DATE: APRIL 29, 2008 SUBJECT: NEIGHBORHOOD TRAFFIC STUDY REQUESTED INFORMATION FOR ZONES 11,16 & 18 At the April 15th Village Board Meeting, some of the Trustees requested speed and volume data for specific streets as part of the latest Neighborhood Traffic Study. Below is a table with this information. All of the data shown in the table was gathered in the fall of 2007 as part of the evaluation phase of these zones. A map is also attached identifying the locations where this data was collected. Staff has looked into these issues and offers the following responses: · The Police Department met with representatives of the car dealership at the comer of Algonquin Road and Briarwood Drive. It was agreed that the dealership would stop the practice of test driving the vehicles in the neighborhood. page 2 of2 Neighborhood Traffic Study April 29, 2008 . The owner of the Briarwood Shopping Plaza has been notified to install a Stop sign at the driveway that exits onto Briarwood Drive. Staff will follow-up to make sure this work is completed. . A comment was made about a missing Stop sign at the intersection near the entrance/exit to the subdivision. The Stop signs in-place are consistent with the Village Code and no information could be found of a previous knockdown or removal. Please include this information for the May 6th Village Board Meeting. Representatives from the Engineering Division will be in attendance to answer any questions. Matthew P.
