AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR PROPERTY
COMMONLY KNOWN AS 1129 THOMAS MORE TERRACE
WHEREAS, Mathew and Penelope Manaves (hereinafter referred to as
Petitioners) have filed an application for a variation from Chapter
14 of the Village Code of Mount Prospect, Illinois, for property
commonly known as 1129 Thomas More Terrace (hereinafter referred to
as Subject Property), legally described as:
Lot 17 in Thomas More Subdivision, being a Subdivision of
that part of the West 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 lying
Northeasterly of the center line of Rand Road in Section
27, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, according to Plat thereof recorded May
29, 1991 as Document No. 91-253832, in Cook County,
Illinois
and
WHEREAS, Petitioners seeks variation from Section 14.3016.A.1 to
permit a circular driveway; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the variations requested
being the subject of ZBA Case No. 1-V-93 before the Zoning Board of
Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect on the 28th day of
January, 1993, pursuant to due and proper notice thereof published
in the Mount Prospect Herald on the 12th day of January, 1993; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has submitted its findings and
recommendation to the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect and the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village have given further consideration to the variation
being the subject of ZBA 1-V-93 and have determined that the best
interests of the Village of Mount Prospect would be served by
granting said variation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: The recitals set forth hereinabove are incorporated
herein as findings of fact by the President and Board of Trustees
of the village of Mount Prospect.
SECTION TWO: The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect hereby grant to the Subject Property a variation
from Section 14.3016.A.1 to permit a circular driveway. Such
variation is subject to submittal of a landscape plan for the front
yard of the subject property.
SECTION THREE: Except for the variation granted herein all other
applicable Village of Mount Prospect Ordinances and regulations
shall remain in full force and effect as to 'the Subject Property.
SECTION FOUR: In accordance with the provisions of Section 14.604
of Chapter 14 of the Village Code, the variations granted herein

shall be null and void unless a permit is issued and construction
begins within one (1) year from the date of passage of this
Ordinance.
SECTION FIVE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet
form in the manner provided by law.
