ORDINANCE NO. 924
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING PROPERTY TO THE VILLAGE
OF MOUNT PROSPECT, WHICH PROPERTY CONSISTS OF
ABOUT THREE ACRES ON NORTH MAIN STREET RUNNING
EASTWARD TO RAND ROAD, BETWEEN HIGHLAND AND
FOUNDRY.
WHEREAS, a written petition has been filed with the
Village Clerk of the Village of Hount Prospect by Ashley Ricketts,
being the sole owner of record of the hereinafter described land
and territory, for annexation to the Village of Mount Prospect,
and
WHEREAS, said land and territory is not within the corpo-
rate limits of any municipality but is contiguous to the Village
of Mount Prospect, and
WIIEREAS, there are no electors residing on said property,
and
WHEREAS, said petitions are under oath and in all respects
comply with the requirements of the Statutes in such cases made
and provided, and
I WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
lof Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, have examined said
petitions and believe it to be to the best interest of said
I Village that said land and territory be annexed thereto;
1 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board
lof Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois:
Section 1. That all land and territory described in said
petitions to wit:
The South 172 feet of the North 683.60 feet
of that part of the North West quarter of the
North East quarter, (as measured on the West
line thereof) of Section 34, Township 42
North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian, lying Southwest of the center of
Rand Road (except that part theretofore
dedicated to Main Street), in Cook County,
Illinois.
which territory is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect,
is not within the limits of any municipality, contains no electors
and is not presently in any incorporated municipality, be and the
same is hereby annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect, so that
hereafter said territory shall be included within the boundary
lines and limits of said Village, as is by law in such case made
and provided.
Section 2. That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount
Prospect is hereby directed to record a certified copy of this
ordinance together with an accurate plat of said territory with
the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
