ORDINANCE NO. 934
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING PROPERTY TO THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT
PROSPECT, WHICH PROPERTY IS ON THE WEST SIDE OF RAND
ROAD, NORTH OF JUDITH ANN DRIVE.
WHEREAS, a written petition has been filed with the Village
Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect by Continental Oil Company, being
the sole owner of record of the hereinafter described land and territory,
for annexation to the Village of Mount Prospect, and
WHEREAS, said land and territory is not within the corporate
limits of any municipality but is contiguous to the Village of Mount
Prospect, and
WHEREAS, there are no electors residing on said property, and
WHEREAS, said petition is under oath and in all respects
complies with the requirements of the Statutes in such cases made and
provided, and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, have examined said petition and
believe it to be to the best interest of said Village that said land and
territory be annexed thereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois:
Section 1. That all land and territory described in said
petitions to wit:
Lot One (1) in N. J. Funk's Subdivision of the
South 150 feet of the North 511.60 feet of that
part of the North West Quarter (NW 1/4) of the
North East Quarter (NE 1/4) lying West of the
center line of Rand Road of Section 34, Township
42 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal
Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois.
which territory is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect, is not
within the limits of any municipality, contains no electors and is not
presently in any incorporated municipality, be and the same is hereby
annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect, so that hereafter said territory
shall be included within the boundary lines and limits of said Village,
as is by law in such case made and provided.
Section 2. That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount
Prospect is hereby directed to record a certified copy of this ordinance
together with an accurate plat of said territory with the Recorder of Deeds
of Cook County, Illinois.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
