Information
In January 2020, Mr. Gjinika requested a Class "F-1" liquor license for
Eggsperience, hoping to enhance the business. Unfortunately, the COVID-19
pandemic started before he could market alcohol sales with dining in. Mr. Gjinka
recently sold the business as he was not able to recover from the pandemic along
with increase in rent.
Alternatives
1. Approve ordinance decreasing the number of Class "F-1" liquor licenses.
2. Action at discretion of Village Board.

Staff recommends approval in order to maintain an accurate number of liquor
licenses.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF THE
VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT
PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS ACTING IN THE EXERCISE OF THEIR HOME RULE POWERS:
SECTION ONE: That in accordance with Subsection A of Section 13.108 of Chapter 13 of the Village Code
of Mount Prospect, as amended, the Corporate Authorities shall determine the number of Liquor Licenses
available in each Classification and shall establish a list specifying the number of Liquor Licenses
authorized. Said list is hereby amended decreasing the number of Class F-2 licenses by one (1) RISE &
SHINE CAFE LLC. d/b/a EGGSPERIENCE located at 176 Randhurst Village Drive Mount Prospect, IL.
