ORDINANCE NO. 4536
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE FOR PROPERTY
COMMONLY KNOWN AS 1733 VERDE DRIVE
WHEREAS, Thomas C. and Corrine R. Strobel (hereinafter referred to
as Petitioners) have filed an application for a Special Use Chapter
for property commonly known as 1733 Verde Drive (hereinafter
referred to as Subject Property), legally described as:
Lot 3 in Block 3 in Hatlen Heights, Unit No. One, a
subdivision in the South Half of the Northeast Quarter of
Section 10, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, according to plat thereof registered in
the Office of the Registrar of Titles of Cook County, Illinois
on August 17, 1955 as Document No. 1614665
and
WHEREAS, Petitioners seek a Special Use, as provided in Section
14.1101.C.8, to allow a garage designed to house more than two
vehicles; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the Special Use requested,
being the subject of ZBA Case No. 19-SU-93 before the Zoning Board
of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect on the 25th day of
March, 1993, pursuant to due and proper notice thereof published in
the Mount Prospect Herald on the 9th day of March, 1993; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has submitted its findings and
recommendations to the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect and the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village have given further consideration to the Special Use
and being the subject of ZBA 19-SU-93 and have determined that the
best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect would be served by
granting said request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: The recitals set forth hereinabove are incorporated
herein as findings of fact by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Mount Prospect.
SECTION TWO: The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect hereby grant to the Subject Properties a Special Use
to allow a garage designed to house more than two motor vehicles on
the Subject Property, which garage will allow a tandem style
garage.
SECTION THREE: Except for the Special Use granted herein, all
other applicable Village of Mount Prospect Ordinances and
regulations shall remain in full force and effect as to the Subject
Property.
SECTION FOUR: In accordance with the provisions of Section 14.604
of Chapter 14 of the Village Code, the variations granted herein

shall be null and void unless permits are issued and construction
begins within one (1) year from the date of passage of this
Ordinance.
SECTION FIVE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet
form in the manner provided by law.
