• Spoke regarding the long-term effects of annexation; expressed concern that many of the
annexed areas in the Village still have Elk Grove and Arlington Heights mailing addresses;
suggested the Village work with the Post Office to correct this issue
• Gave kudos to Village Manager Cassady for his successful efforts to annex key areas into
the Village without use of referendum

Mount Prospect resident, Lake Briarwood
• Living within the boundaries of Mount Prospect but having an Arlington Heights address
presents confusion
• Dissatisfied that RexPlex does not offer family swimming
Mayor Hoefert noted that Mount Prospect no longer has a Post Master but staff will look into the
matter further. Previous attempts to correct the issue with the Arlington Heights Post Office were
unsuccessful. Mayor Hoefert also noted the Village and Park District are separate entities and the
concern should be brought to the attention of the Park District.
