ORDINANCE NO. 4597
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL
PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
adopted Ordinance No. 4581 entitled "An Ordinance Authorizing the Sale of Personal
Property Owned by the Village", which personal property consists of miscellaneous office
furniture and office equipment and was offered for sale to the highest bidder as "a lot";
and
WHEREAS, notice to bidders was published in the local newspaper; and
WHEREAS, no bids were received in response to the request for bids for the property
being the subject of Ordinance No. 4581; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect that the best interests of the Village would be served by authorizing
the Village Manager to dispose of this personal property in the most feasible method,
provided that under no circumstances shall this personal property be deposited in a
landfill.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the President and Board of Trustee of the Village of Mount
Prospect do hereby authorize the Village Manager to dispose of the personal property
listed on the attached Exhibit "A" in the method deemed appropriate by the Village
Manager.
SECTION TWO: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
