HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 951 01/21/1964 - ORDINANCE NO. 951 AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE COMPENSATION OF THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT, VILLAGE CLERK, AND VILLAGE TRUSTEES, EFFECTIVE AS TO PERSONS WHOSE TERMS COMMENCE IN THE YEAR 1965. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: Section 1. That Section 1.004 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect, be and is hereby amended to read as fol- lows: "Section 1.004 Bond-Oath-Salary. Before entering upon the duties of his office the President shall give a bond with sureties to be approved by the Board of Trustees conditioned upon his faithful performance of his duties, in the sum of three thousand($3000.) dollars. He shall take the oath of office as prescribed by statute and shall receive as compensation the sum of two thousand ($2000.) dollars annually, payable in twelve equal monthly installments." Section 2. That Section 2.102 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect, be and is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 2.102 Oath-Salary. The members of the Board of Trustees shall take the oath of office prescribed by statute and shall receive as compensation the sum of Fifteen ($15.00) Dollars for each meeting of the Board of Trustees attended by the members; provided, how- ever, that no trustees shall receive compensation for attendance at more than one (1) meeting per week." Section 3. That Section 3.113 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect, be and is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 3.113 Salary. The salary of the Village Clerk for the performance of the duties of the office shall be the sum of Twelve Hundred ($1200.) Dollars payable in twelve equal monthly install- ments." Section 4. That the foregoing amendments to the Municipal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect shall apply only to persons whose terms of office commence in the year 1965. Persons whose terms of office commenced prior to said year shall receive only such compensation as they have heretofore received. Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
