ORDINANCE NO. 970
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING PROPERTY TO THE VILLAGE OF
MOUNT PROSPECT. WHICH PROPERTY IS ON THE SOUTH SIDE
OF FOUNDRY ROAD (307 EAST FOUNDRY ROAD) AND WEST OF
THE BRICKMAN MANOR SUBDIVISION.
WHEREAS. a written petition has been filed with the Village Clerk
of the Village of Mount Prospect by Benjamin Forbes Miner. Agent for the
Oak Park National Bank. as Trustee under Trust No. 6375. being the sole
owner of record of the hereinafter described land and territory. for an-
nexation to the Village of Mount Prospect. and
WHEREAS. said land and territory is not within the corporate
limits of any municipality but is contiguous tothe Village of Mount Prospect.
and
WHEREAS. there are no electors residing on said property. and
WHEREAS. said petition is under oath and in all respects complies
with the Fequirements of the Statutes in such cases made and provided. and
WHEREAS. the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect. Cook County. Illinois. have examined said petition and
believes it to be to the best interest of said Village that said land and
territory be annexed thereto:
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect. Cook County. Illinois;
Section 1. That all land and territory described in said petition
to wit:
The east 140 feet of the north 500 feet of that part
of the northwest 1/4 of the northeast 1/4 of Section
34. Township 42 North. Range 11 East of the Third
Principal Meridian in Cook County. Illinois.
which territory is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect. is not within
the limits of any municipality. contains no electors and is not presently in
any incorporated municipality. be and the same is hereby annexed to the
Village of Mount Prospect. so that hereafter said territory shall be included
within the boundary lines and limits of said Village. as is by law in such
case made and provided.
Section 2. That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect
is hereby directed to record a certified copy of this ordinance together with
an accurate plat of said territory with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County,
Illinois.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
PASSED and APPROVED this 24th day of March. 1964.
