AN OnDINANCE l\..[\fH\i;ZING SCHOOL PHOPERTY TO 'I'm': VILLAGE OF HOUNT PROSPECT
vfl1EREAS, the Board of Education of Community Consolidated School
District No. 59, Cook County, Illinois, did, in accordance with Section
7-1-14, Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised Statutes, ado~t a Resolution
recommending the annexation of real est[lte hereinafter described to the
Village of I-{ount Prospect, which Resolution did contain all requisite
requirements so as to comply with the Statutes made and provided, and
~{HEREAS, a copy of said Resolution was duly delivered to the
Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect, and

';'!1-:ER.E).8, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
liount Prospect, County of Cook, Illinois, do believe it to be to the best
interests of the Village that the ~roperties hereinafter described be in
fact annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois.

Section 1. That the territory and lands hereinafter described:

at a Doint 235.13 feet 1~ast of the Fest line of said Lot
Seven- (7), as measured along a line which is 50.0 feet
North of and parallel to the South line of said Lot
Seven (7) thence North along a line perpendicular to the
line which is 50.0 feet North of and parallel to the
South line of said Lot Seven (7), a distance of 976.30
feet to a point, thence North 67 degrees, 11 minutes,
4.0 seconds H;ast along a line, a distance of 122.93 feet
to a point, thence South 16 degrees, 35 minutes, 4.0
seconds East along a line a distance of 453.58 feet to
a point, thence South along a line wrQch is perpendicular
to the line 50.0 feet North of and parallel to the South

33 minutes, 20 seconds East, along the West line of
said Lot Seven (7) a distance of 997.0 feet for a
point of beginning (said point being the Northwest
Corner of property described in Deed registered as Doc-
ument Number 1734689); thence East parallel to the
South Line of said Lot Seven (7), a distance of 155.0
feet; thence North 67 degrees, 11 minutes, 40 seconds
East, a distance of 200.0 feet; thence North 18 degrees,
58 minutes, 51 seconds West, a distance of 157.57 feet;
thence Southwesterly along a curved line convexed to the
South and having a radius of 555.0 feet, an arc distance
of 300.35 feet to a point on the West Line of said Lot
Seven (7), said point being 150.0 feet North of the point
of beginning; thence South along the West line of said
Lot Seven (7), to the point of beginning,
being contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect, being without the corp-
orate limits of any other municipality and having no one residing thereon
and which has been duly petitioned for via Resolution adopted b,y Community
Consolidated School District No. 59, Cook County, Illinois, mentioned above,
which School District is the beneficial owner of said property, be and is
hereb,y annexed and made a part of the Village of Mount Prospect.
Section 2. That the boundary lines of the Village of Mount
Prospect be hereby enlarged and extended so as to include within its corp-
orate boundaries the above described real estate.
Section 3. That the Village Clerk is directed to file a certi-
fied copy of this ordinance together with an accurate map of the above
territory with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.

Re: Ordinance annexing school property to
the Village of Mount Prospect
Gentlemen:
I find the attached resolution and ordinance from the
Elk Grove School District No. 59 to be in order, except for
the following:
The Statute provides that the resolution provide
that the clerk or secretary of the School Board
transmit a copy of the resolut ion to the Village
Board which is not complied with in the wording
of the resolution; however, in my opinion it will
not affect the validity of the ordinance.

BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Education of C()l:qJnUnity Consol-
idated School District Number 59, Cook County, Illinois as follows:
WHEREAS, the real estate hereinafter described in th1s Resolu-
tion 1s contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook: County, Illi-
nois and situated in the unincorporated territor;r and is witho,:t the
corporate limits ot any other municins.lity, and
vtHEREAS, the said real estate is owned. by the Trustees of
Schools of Township 41 Nort.h, Range 11 East for the use and benetit
ot Community Consolidated School District Number 59, and
W1~AS, no electors reside on said real estate,
N(l\t THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board ot Education
of Community Consolidated School District Number 59, Cook County, Illi-
nois, recommend to the President and Trustees ot the Village ot Mount
