ORDINANCE NO. ~
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
ZONING ORDINANCE RELATING TO PROPERTY COMMONLY
REFERRED TO AS THE SUNBEAM PROPERTY LOCATED ALONG
RAND ROAD.
WHEREAS, the Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount
Prospect, sitting as a Zoning Commission at a public meeting duly
called and held according to law (Appeal No. 64 - 27), considered
the question of reclassifying the real estate hereinafter
described from R-l to B-3, and
WHEREAS, the Petitioner has deposited with the Village
Treasurer the sum of $1,395.00 for the purpose of deferring its
cost of a water main along Rand Road adjudged necessary to the
proper development of said property in accordance with a Treasurer's
Receipt and Escrow Agreement, and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect, having considered the recommendation of said
Zoning Board of Appeals, find and believe that the highest and
best use of said real estate is that of B-3.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Pres ident and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois:
Section 1. That an ordinance entitled "Zoning Ordinance of
Mount Prospectnrpassed and approved April 2, 1963, and known as
Ordinance No. 898, and as subsequently amended to date hereof, be
amended by reclassifying the following described real estate from
R-l to B-3.
That part lying North of Rand Road of the West 140
feet of the East 280 feet of the Northwest quarter
of the Northeast quarter of Section 34, Township 42
North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian,
except the North 400 feet thereof, in Cook County,
Illinois, as shown on Plat of Survey, dated October
26, 1963, by Robert E. Frederick, an Illinois
Registered Land Surveyor.
Section 2. That said real estate as reclassified shall be
subject to all the limitations and conditions placed upon proper-
ties in the B-3 district, as defined in the ordinances afore-
mentioned.
Section 3. That any person, firm or corporation who violates,
disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists
the enforcement of any of the provisions of this ordinance shall
be fined not more than One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars for each
offense, and each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall
constitute a separate offense.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication,
according to law.
