ORDINANCE NO. 1025
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING A TRIANGULAR PORTION OF LAND
COMPRISING 5.77 ACRES BOUNDED ON THE NORTHEAST BY
RAND ROAD. ON THE SOUTH BY HENRY STREET AND ON THE
NORTH BY THE CENTER LINE OF THAYER STREET AS EXTENDED.

WHEREAS. property legally described as follows: The North 1/2
of the Southwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 35. Township 42
North. Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian (excepting from
the aforesaid tract the West 193 feet thereof and that part of the afore-
said tract which lies Easterly of the Westerly line of Rand Road). in
Cook County. Illinois. is within the unincorporated territory of Cook
County. and not within any municipality and is less than sixty (60)
acres in area; and
WHEREAS. said land and territory is both contiguous and wholly
bounded by the Village of Mount Prospect; and

WHEREAS. the Statutes of the State of Illinois. and particularly
Section 7-1-13 of Chapter 24 thereof (Illinois Revised Statutes 1963)
provides for the annexation of said territory upon the passage of an
ordinance by the Village; and
WHEREAS. the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect. County of Cook. find and believe it to be to the best
interest of said Village that the afore-described land and territory
be annexed thereto;
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect. County of Cook. Illinois:
Section 1: That all land and territory legally described as
follows. to-wit:
The North 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 of the Southwest
~' 1/4 of Section 35. Township 42 North, Range 11 East
of the Third Principal Meridian (excepting from the
aforesaid tract the West 193 feet thereof and that
part of the aforesaid tract which lies Easterly of
the Westerly line of Rand Road). in Cook County.
Illinois.
Which territory is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect
and is wholly bounded by the Village of Mount Prospect and is not
presently in any incorporated municipality but is in the unincorporated
territory of Cook County and whereas said territory is less than sixty
(60) acres in size, be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of
Mount Prospect so that hereafter said territory:..shall be included
within the boundary lines and limits of said Village. as is by law
in such case made and provided.

Section 2: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount
Prospect is hereby directed to record a certified copy of this
ordinance together with an accurate plat of said territory with the
Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois.

Section 3% That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from arid after its passage and approval according to
law.
