ORDINANCE No. 1039 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXlhl~G CERTAIN PROPERTY TO THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT WHEREAS, property legally described in Exhibit "A" attached, is within the unincorporated territory of Cook County, and not within any municipality and is less than sixty (60) acres in area; and WHEREAS, said land and territory is both contiguous and wholly bounded by the Village of Mount Prospect; and WHEREAS, the Statutes of the State of Illinois, and particularly Section 7-1-13 of Chapter 24 thereof (Illinois Revised Statutes 1963) provides for the annexation of said territory upon the passage of an ordinance by the Village; and c..D WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village ..p. of Mount Prospect, Cook County find and believe it to be to the best ~ interest of said Village that the land and territory described in ~ Exhibi t "A" attached be annexed thereto; 0) W I NOH, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: Section 1. That all land and territory legally described in Exhibit "A" attached, which territory is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect and is wholly bounded by the Villare of Mount Pros- pect and is not presently in any incorporated municiDality but is in the unincorporated territory of Cook County and whereas said territory is less than sixty (60) acres in size, be and the same is hereby annexed to) the Village of Mount Prospect so that hereafter said territory shall be included within the boundary lines and limits of said Village, as is by law in such case made and provided. \11."... .. That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect is hereby directed to record a certified copy of this ordi- nance together with an accurate plat of said territory with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois. Section 3.
