AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE VILLAGE
BY REZONING THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER
OF EUCLID AVENUE AND RAND ROAD FROM C-R (CONSERVATION
RECREATION) DISTRICT TO R-4 (MULTI-FAMILY DEVELOPMENT) DISTRICT
WHEREAS, Pontarelli Builders, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as Petitioner), has filed an
application to rezone the property generally located at northeast corner of Euclid Avenue
and Rand Road (hereinafter referred to as Subject Property), legally described on Exhibit
"A" attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, Petitioner had requested the Subject Property be rezoned from R-1 (Single
Family) District to R-4 (Multi-Family Development) District; and
WHEREAS, public headngs were held on the request for rezoning, being the subject of
ZBA Case No. 71-Z-93, before the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount
Prospect on the 9th day of September, 1993 and the 11th day of November, 1993,
pursuant to due and proper notice thereof having been published in the Mount Prospect
Herald on the 24th day of August, 1993; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has submitted its findings and recommendation
to the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the Subject Property, due to the recent amendment et he Zoning Map, is
currently designated C-R (Conservation Recreation) District on the Official Zoning Map;
and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have
considered the request being the subject of ZBA 70-Z-93 and have determined that the
best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect would be served by the rezoning of the
Subject Property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the recitals set forth hereinabove are incorporated herein as
findings of fact by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect.
SECTION TWO: The official zoning map of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, as
amended, is hereby further amended by reclassifying the property being the subject of
this Ordinance from C-R (Conservation Recreation) District to R-4 (Multi-Family
Residence) District.
SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
