AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY
TO THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
WHEREAS, a written petition under oath signed by all
the owners of record of the land hereinafter described, and
all the electors residing thereon, has been filed with the
Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect requesting that
said land be annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect; and
vffiEREAS, said land is not within the corporate limits
of any municipality, but is contiguous to the Village of Mount
Prospect; and
~rnEREAS, it is considered in the best interests of
the Village of Mount Prospect to annex said property to the

BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT:

SECTION ONE: That the territory legally described as:
The South 15 acres of the North 30 acres of
the Northeast 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4,
excepting the West 787.84 feet thereof, and
also excepting the East 200 feet of the
South 316 feet thereof, of Section lIt, Town-
ship 41 North, Range 11 East of the Third
Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois,
(f)
an accurate map of which territory is attached hereto and made
part hereof, be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of
Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION ~10: The Village Clerk of the Village of
Mount Prospect is hereby directed to file in the office of the
Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois, a copy of this ordi-
nance, together with an accurate map of the territory annexed.
SECTION THREE: This ordinance shall be ln full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval as provided
by law.

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 7-1-1 of the
Illinois Municipal Code, as amended August 3, 1965, you, and 5!2.
each of you, as Trustees of the Elk Grove Rural Fire Protection CO
District, are hereby notified that the corporate authorities of ~,
the Village of Mount Prospect will consider the annexation of Ln
certain property wi thin the corporate limits of the Elk Grove 0')
Rural Fire Protection District at a regular meeting of the said
corporate authorities of the said Village in the Village Hall
in Mount Prospect, Illinois, on October 26, 1965, at 8:00 p.m.,~
which said property is commonly known as a tract of land con-
sisting of approximately 4-1/2 acres located at 1208 Linneman
Road, Mount Prospect, Illinois, and is more particularly
described as:
The South 15 acres of the North 30 acres
of the Northeast 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4,
excepting the West 787.84 feet thereof, and
also excepting the East 200 feet of the
South 316 feet thereof, of Section 14, Town-
ship 41 North, Range 11 East of the Third
Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois.
At the aforesaid time and place you may appear and
be heard in connection with the aforesaid proposed annexation
if you so see fit.

AFFIDAVIT OF SERVICE
Richard H. Monroe on oath states: I am the Village
Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect, and the within and
foregoing Notice was served upon the Trustees of the Elk Grove
Rural Fire Protection District by mailing a copy of the said
Notice to each of the Trustees at the addresses as shown above,
by Certified Mail, return receipt requested.
