Northwest Highway Mount Prospect, Illinois 60056 MINUTES September 5, 2007 Public Safety Building Fire /Police Training Conference Room Chairman McKillop called the meeting to order at 6:03 p.m. Roll Call: Robert McKillop, Chairman George Busse, Commissioner Marie Cotten, Secretary Absent: John Arndt, Commissioner Also Present: John Dahlberg, Chief of Police John Malcolm, Deputy Fire Chief Michael Figolah, Fire Chief APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Commissioner Busse and seconded by Commissioner Cotten to accept the minutes of the August 15, 2007, Open Meeting. Voice Vote: Ayes: Busse, Cotten, McKillop Nays: None Motion carried Chairman McKillop asked for a motion to go into Closed Session under Section 2C1 of the Open Meetings Act. A motion was made by Commissioner Busse and seconded by Commissioner Cotten to go into closed session to approve the minutes and discuss personnel. Voice Vote: Ayes: Busse, Cotten, McKillop Nays: None Motion carried The Board reconvened at 6:46 p.m. with everyone present. At the request of the Fire Chief, the Chairman agreed to address agenda Items IV and V next. PROPOSED BOFPC RULES & REGULATIONS REVISIONS Chief Figolah recommended three revisions for the Board's consideration. The Board reviewed the recommendations and concurred. POLICE DEPARTMTENT UPDATE A motion was made by Commissioner Busse and seconded by Commissioner Cotten to give Candidate #5 a pass. Voice Vote: Ayes: Busse, Cotten, McKillop Nays: None Motion carried Chief Dahlberg also reported that the sergeants test will be conducted in November. FIRE DEPARTMENT UPDATE No report. Page 2 Minutes 9/5/07 OTHER BUSINESS The Chairman and the Board asked the Chiefs to thank the Fire and Police Department for a job well done during the recent storm. The next meeting date will be Tuesday, October 9th, at 6:00 p.m. A motion was made by Commissioner Cotten and seconded by Commissioner Busse to adjourn the meeting at 7:42 p. m.
