MINUTES
September 5, 2007

Chairman McKillop called the meeting to order at 6:03 p.m.
Roll Call: Robert McKillop, Chairman
George Busse, Commissioner
Marie Cotten, Secretary
Absent: John Arndt, Commissioner
Also Present: John Dahlberg, Chief of Police
John Malcolm, Deputy Fire Chief
Michael Figolah, Fire Chief
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A motion was made by Commissioner Busse and seconded by Commissioner Cotten to accept
the minutes of the August 15, 2007, Open Meeting.
Voice Vote:
Ayes: Busse, Cotten, McKillop
Nays: None Motion carried
Chairman McKillop asked for a motion to go into Closed Session under Section 2C1 of the Open
Meetings Act.
A motion was made by Commissioner Busse and seconded by Commissioner Cotten to go into
closed session to approve the minutes and discuss personnel.
Voice Vote:
Ayes: Busse, Cotten, McKillop
Nays: None Motion carried
The Board reconvened at 6:46 p.m. with everyone present. At the request of the Fire Chief, the
Chairman agreed to address agenda Items IV and V next.
PROPOSED BOFPC RULES & REGULATIONS REVISIONS
Chief Figolah recommended three revisions for the Board's consideration. The Board reviewed
the recommendations and concurred.
POLICE DEPARTMTENT UPDATE
A motion was made by Commissioner Busse and seconded by Commissioner Cotten to give
Candidate #5 a pass.
Voice Vote:
Ayes: Busse, Cotten, McKillop
Nays: None Motion carried
Chief Dahlberg also reported that the sergeants test will be conducted in November.

OTHER BUSINESS
The Chairman and the Board asked the Chiefs to thank the Fire and Police Department for a job
well done during the recent storm.
The next meeting date will be Tuesday, October 9th, at 6:00 p.m.
A motion was made by Commissioner Cotten and seconded by Commissioner Busse to adjourn
the meeting at 7:42 p. m.
