At"! ORDINANCE Al'IENDING ARTICLE 4 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT M~D BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT:
SECTION OWE: Section 5.402 of the Municipal Code of
Mount Prospect of 1957 is hereby amended by deleting the entire
Section and substituting in its place a new Section 5.402. the
said new Section to be and read as follows:
Section 5.402. Membership.
Said Plan Commission shall consist of nine
(9) members, all of whom shall be citizens of
the Village of Mount Prospect. The members of
the Plan Commission shall be appointed by the
President of the Board of Trustees by and with
the consent of the Members of the Board of
Trustees. The President of the Board of Trustees
shall be an ex officio member of the Plan Commision.

SECTION TWO: Section 5.403 of the Municipal Code of
Mount Prospect of 1957 is hereby amended by deleting the entire
Section and substituting in its place a new Section 5.403. the
said new Section to be and read as folloWi:
Section 5.403. Term of Office.
The members of the Plan Commission in office
at the time of the adoption of this amendment
shall serve as members of the new Commission for
the period of time remaining in their current
terms and until their successors are appointed
and qualified. Of the two (2) new members of

the Plan Commission appointed pursuant to this
amendment, when first appointed, one shall be
appointed for a term of four years, and one
shall be appointed for a term of two years. At
the expiration of the respective terms of office
of the present members of the Plan Commission
and the terms of the two (2) new members appointed

pursuant to this amendment;. members of the Plan
Commission shall thereafter be appointed for
terms of four years. Vacancies shall be filled
for the unexpired term of the member whose place
has become vacant. Members of the Plan Commission
shall serve without compensation except that for
each special meeting of the said Commission,
the members to the Commission shall receive, as
compensation for each case heard at any such special
meeting, the amount of $10 to the Chairman and $5

special meeting. The secretary of the Plan Commis-
sion may receive such additional compensation as
may be fixed from time
to time by the Board of
Trustees and provided for in the appropriation
ordinance.
SECTION THREE: Article 4 of Chapter 5 of the
Municipal Code of Mount Prospect of 1957 is hereby amended by
adding thereto a new Section 5.410, the said new Section to be
and read as follows:

Section 5.410. Meetings.
Regular meetings of the Plan Commission shall
be held on tee third Friday of each month at 8:00 p.m.

at the Village Hall in Mount Prospect, unless
such day shall be a recognized holiday. In that
event, the said regular meeting shall be held at

such other time as the Chairman shall designate.
Special meetings of the Plan Commission may be
called by the Chairman or upon the request of two
or more members of the Plan Commission provided
written notice of such special meeting is given
to each member at least 24 hours in advance. All
meetings of the Plan Commission shall be open to
the public. A quorum of the Plan Commission shall
consist of five members.
SECTION FOUR: This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect fDom and after its passage and approval in the
manner provided by law.
