Squad P-12 is a 2016 Dodge Charger all -wheel drive (AWD) pursuit rated vehicle with approximately 101,031 miles and currently serves as a front line vehicle used by our Patrol Section. Squad P-12 has been evaluated utilizing Public Work's detailed comprehensive replacement policy. The policy uses a point -based criterion that rates the following four (4) major factors: age, mileage, repair and maintenance (R&M) costs, and condition of the body/mechanical components. A point total equaling or exceeding eleven (11) out of sixteen (16) indicates that the vehicle should be replaced. A copy of the Public Works Vehicle Examination Forms (Appendix A and B) are attached. Squad P-12 scored a total of 14 points, which indicates the vehicle is recommended for replacement. 1 Staff would like to replace this vehicle with a 2021 Dodge Durango all -wheel drive (AWD) pursuit rated vehicle. The Village has several Durango's currently in the fleet and they have proven themselves to be reliable vehicles, with plenty of seating room and cargo space. The Dodge Durango is available from Thomas Dodge under the Southwest Conference of Mayors Cooperative Bid Agreement. This is a publicly bid contract that satisfies the procurement requirements of the Village of Mount Prospect's Purchasing Policy. Funding for the replacement of squad P-12 is provided in the 2021 Annual Budget on page 522 of the Community Investment Program section and listed under account number 061.60.90.00.1.708.660.003. The total budgeted amount for this purchase is $43,000. The vehicle being replaced will be evaluated by Public Works to determine whether or not it should be sold through GovDeals.com Internet auction or repurposed within the Village as a pool car. Alternatives 1.
