This vehicle is a 2013 Ford Explorer all -wheel drive (AWD) with approximately 731173 miles and currently serves as an unmarked emergency vehicle and is utilized by Staff and our Investigative Section. Squad I-27 has been evaluated utilizing Public Work's detailed comprehensive replacement policy. The policy uses a point -based criterion that rates the following four (4) major factors: age, mileage, repair and maintenance (R&M) costs, and condition of the body/mechanical components. A point total equaling or exceeding eleven (11) out of sixteen (16) indicates that the vehicle should be replaced. A copy of the Public Works Vehicle Examination Forms (Appendix A and B) are attached. Squad I-27 scored a total of 12 points, which indicates the vehicle is recommended for replacement. Replacement eco nion Staff would like to replace this vehicle with a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe 4 -wheel drive Special Service Vehicle. The department has several Tahoe's currently in our 1 patrol fleet and they have proven themselves to be reliable vehicles, with plenty of seating room and cargo space. The Village is a member of the Northwest Municipal Conference (NWMC), which has pricing available through the Suburban Purchasing Cooperative (SPC). The 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe 4 -wheel drive Special Service Vehicle is included in the Joint Purchasing Contract #185. This is a publicly bid contract that satisfies the procurement requirements of the Village of Mount Prospect's Purchasing Policy. Funding for the replacement of squad I-27 is provided in the 2021 Annual Budget on page 522 of the Community Investment Program section and listed under account number 061.60.90.00.1.708.660.003. The total budgeted amount for this purchase is $42,000. The vehicle being replaced will be evaluated by Public Works to determine whether or not it should be sold through GovDeals.com Internet auction or repurposed within the Village as a pool car. LOCK -OUT PROTECTION When a key is in the vehicle and the driver door is open with the ignition ON or ACC, an audible alarm will sound. If the doors are locked and closed, the driver door will remain locked. The engine will remain running if ON. When the ignition is OFF and the last door is closed and there is a key in the front seat area of the vehicle, the driver door will unlock. POWER OUTLETS A 60 Hertz, 110 volt AC outlet is located in the center section (20%) of the front seat. The outlet is rated at 150 watts.
