PROCLAMATION - EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES MONTH, APRIL, 1984 B. A RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDING L. A. "RUDY" HANSON This Resolution is to honor Mr. Hanson, Village Manager of Arlington Heights on his retirement, following over 25 years in that position. (Exhibit A) C. lst reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF THE VILLAGE CODE This ordinance deletes a Class "W" liquor -license issued to Golden Bear Restaurant due to the fact that the business will continue as a family restaurant without serving liquor as well as deleting a Class "S" license issued to Little America and creating a Class "R" liquor license since this establishment no longer has a lounge area. ZBA 10 -SU -84, Old Orchard Colony Country The Zoning Board of Appeals recommends denial of the request for a special use in the nature of a planned unit development, amending the Consent Decree. A compromise plan will also be presented for the homeowners to acquire the subject property utilizing a Special Service District if a purchase price can be agreed to by all n.arties concerned. B. ZBA 7-Z-84, 8Q1 Edgewood Lane 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS, WITH RESPECT TO THE ZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE R-1 SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT This Ordinance grants R -J. zoning from R -X which will permit the owner to subdivide the parcel into two lots of record and construct a single family dwelling on the vacant lot. (Exhibit C) C. Altenburg's Plat of Re -Subdivision This plat pertains to the preceeding Or!inance, dividing the large lot into two lots. Ix. 94 D. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECTS' PORTION OF CERTAIN COMPUTER AIDED DISPATCH COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT FOR USE BY THE VILLAGE POLICE DEPARTMENT, THE VILLAGE FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND THE NORTHWEST CENTRAL DISPATCH SYSTEM, AND TO AUTHORIZE THE BORROWING OF TWO HUNDRED FIFTY ThUUSAND DOLLARS TO BE PAID OVER A PERIOD OF FIVE YEARS, AND PROVIDING THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF A DIRECT ANNUAL TAX FOR THE PAYMENT OF PRINCIPAL AND INTEREST DUE ON SAID LOAN VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT A. PUBLIC HEARING This Public Hearing, called pursuant to proper legal notice, published April. 4, 1984, is for the purpose of discussing the tentative budget for fiscal year 1984-85. (Exhibit D) B. A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING AN ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING MAY 1, 1984 TO APRIL 30, 1985 This Resolution adopts the 1984-85 budget. (Exhibit E) C. A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CLOSING OF THREE 1964 BOND AND INTEREST FUND ACCOUNTS FOR FIRE EQUIPMENT, AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF A PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING AND FIRE STATION, AND TO TRANSFER FUNDS ON HAND TO THE COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT DEBT SERVICE FUND IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS The three accounts for bond and interest on the projects listed have been paid in full. This Resolution authorizing the transfer of surplus funds in those accounts to the Communications Equipment Debt Service Fund, E. Co -Operative Venture tet,,,-een School District 214 and the Village F. Status Report NEW BUSINESS (Exhibit F) A. lst reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE XI ENTITLED "TAXICAB AND TAXICAB DRIVER'S LICENSES" OF CHAPTER 11 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT This Ordinance establishes the taxicab rates for senior citizens and handicapped persons, as well as setting forth the procedures involved. (Exhibit G) B. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF ILLINOIS FOR THE MODERNIZATION OF CERTAIN TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNALS This Agreement authorizes the modernization of the intersections of Dempster and Busse Roads as well as Algonquin and Busse Roads. (Exhibit 11) C. A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING MOTOR FUEL TAX FUNDS This Resolution appropriates $23,000 as the Village's portion of the modernization of the traffic signals being the su'-ject of the preceeding Agreement. The $23,000 is the cost for Opticom equipment. (Exhibit J) C. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT AND NORTHWEST COMM13NITY SERVICES, INC. This Resolution renews the Agreement between the Village and Northwest Community Services to provide ho)ising counseling services for low and moderate income and elderly residents. (Exhibit K) D. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT AND THE PARATRANSIT iZESOURCES CORPORATION OF THE NORTHWEST COMMUNITY SERVICES, INC. This Resolution authorizes the agreement to provide transportation services for clients of an adult care center within the corporate limits of the Village. (Exhibit L) XI. ANY OTHER BUSINESS XII.
