1. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE ZONING THE PROPERTY
COMMONLY KNOWN AS ELMHURST ROAD PLAZA IN THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
This Ordinance grants B-4 zoning, from B-3, to
permit a planned unit development for uqe as
an automotive care facility.

2. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND
AUTHORIZING A PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT OF
CERTAIN PROPERTY KNOWN AS THE ELMHURST ROAD
PLAZA WITH A SPECIAL USE OF SUCH DEVELOPMENT
FOR AUTOMOTIVE RELATED USES ONLY AND WITH
CERTAIN VARIATIONS FROM THE REGULATION OF THE
ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
This Ordinance grants a special use in the nature
of a planned unit development to provide for 5
buildings on a lot of record, as well as granting
specified variations for parking, reduced rear
yard, and designated truck loading areas.

B. lst reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING CERTAIN
VARIATIONS FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1590 S. BUSSE ROAD
IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
This Ordinance grants reduced front and rear yard size,
reduced off-street loading area, and 28 parking spaces
instead of the required 31.

A. ZBA 2-A-84, Text Amendment
This case proposed the establishment of a new
zoning district, O -R (Office/Research), as well
as creating the standards for such a district.
The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended 5-1 to
approve this request.
B. lst reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.3323
DESIGNATING REPRESENTATIVES TO THE NORTHWEST SUBURBAN
MUNICIPAL JOINT ACTION WATER AGENCY FOR THE VILLAGE
OF MOUNT PROSPECT
This Ordinance designates Herb Weeks, Director of
Public Works, as the Village's representative to this
Agency. (Exhibit H)
C. lst reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE XIII
OF CHAPTER 18 (TRAFFIC CODE) OF THE VILLAGE CODE
This Ordinance establishes "No Parking" regulations
in areas specifically designated as 'Taxi Stand" for
vehicles other than taxi cabs and prohibits parking
in the Maple Street Lot between 1 AM and 5 AM. (Exhibit J)
D. lst reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18
(TRAFFIC CODE) OF THE VILLAGE CODE
This Ordinance authorizes a STOP sign at Hunt Club
Drive for east and westbound traffic on Huntington
Commons Road, making the intersection a 3 -way STOP. (Exhibit K)
E. Safety Commission recommendation from meeting held
February 6, 1984:
1. By a vote of 4-1 the Safety Commission
recommends prohibiting southbound traffic
on Elmhurst Avenue between Lincoln & Milburn
during the hours students at St. Raymonds
arrive and depart (8:15 AM - 8:45 AM and
2:30 PM - 3 PM).
The Safety Commission will be considering parking
regulations on streets around St. Raymonds at their
Monday, March 5th meeting.
