COMMUNICATIONS AND PETITIONS
Mr. John Power, 615 N. Fairview, talked about traffic problems
and police patrol between Foundry and Highland.
MANAGER'S REPORT
The Village Manager talked about the Central School building
demolition and stated that rather than have a deep basement
hole when the building is razed, the architect recommends re-
moval of the building be made a part of the contract for the
new library building.
Trustee Gustus, seconded by Trustee Caylor, moved to concur
with the recommendation of Wendt, Cedarholm, Tippens, Inc.
as stated in their letter of January 2, 1975 that at the time
of letting of the contract -for the construction of the library,
demolition be made a part of the specifications.

MAYOR'S REPORT
Mayor Tei'chert reported there is a'vacancy on the Drainage
and Clean Streams Commission created by the resignation of
Rick Tiberghien, anal he appointed Robert Martindale, 20 W.
Lonnquiist, to fill the unexpired term to May 1, 1975, and
requested Board concurrence.
Trustee Richardson, seconded by Trustee Gustus, moved to con-
cur in the appointment of Robert Martindale as a member of the
Drainage and Clean Streams Commission.
Upon roll call: Ayes: Anderson Caylor Gustus Hendricks

Motion carried.
Mayor Teichert appointed James Glass, 1412 Circle Drive, as a
member of the Community Services and Mental Health Commission
to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Harriet
Forton, for a term to expire May 1, 1977, and requested Board
concurrence.
Trustee Caylor, seconded by Trustee Richardson, moved to
concur in the appointment of James Class as a member of the
Community Services and -Mental Health Commission.

creat 'by the resignation of John Weber as a member of the
Electrical Commission. By' statute, the" new member must be
an employee of an electrical u,ti.lity company.

PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE I
Trustee Gustus talked about the future use of the present
library building and requested the administration to consider
the building forr-housling a'senior citizens community center.
OTHER BUSINESS
Trustee Anderson, seconded by Trustee Guistus, moved to author-
ize th6 Mayor and Clerk to sign and, attest Alexander's Addi-
tion, to Mount .PrOSDect, a plat of subdivision for, the Amoco
service station at Dempster and Elmhurst, subject, to the
Engineer's approval and posting of any public 'improvement
bonds, if required.

Trustee Richardson, seconded by Trustee Gustus, moved for waiver
of the rules to consider a resolution authorizing the execution
of an agreement with the Forest River Fire Protection District.

hold a carnival at the Mt. Prospect Shopping Plaza from
Wednesday, May 28 through Sunday June 1, 1975.
As you know, proceeds from the Jaycee fund raising
activities are returned to the community in one form or
another. We, therefore, request your consideration
in helping us maximize these funds by waiving all permit
fees normally accessed under the local village statute
except out of pocket expenses*
