Neighbors: Notified Objectors: None Results of Testimony: Petitioner testified they hoped to construct a two story and basement structure. Each floor will contain an associate of the Northwest -Waterman Associates., made up of a consulting engineer, commercial insurance broker and residential contractor. The associates require 16 parking stalls, existing large trees and inability to obtain adjoining park district property create the parking hardship. The nature of the businesses do not require a loading zone. Petitioner testified that contractors storage yard was located at some other area and'no construction vehicles would be parked at the site. Board voted 4-0 to recommend the variations. Neighbors: Notified objectors: None Results of Testimony: Home is located on a corner lot. Petitioner testified that the condenser would have to be located either upon his -patio or in. the middle of his back yard to fall within the ordinance. I The neighbor whose property is abutting the side the compressor will. located wrote a letter stating he had no objection. to the location. Moard voted 4-0 to recommend granting the variation. Property: 101 W. Prospect Avenue, Mt. Prospect, Ill. Unit: 7-5 B-3 District Request: Variations for use of more than 75% of lot, no park- ing spaces (3 required), no loading zone (I re - 0 quired). Neighbors: Notified Objectors: None Results of Testimony: Petitioner requested permission to construct an addition to his building within a wedge- shaped area why ch ils'not -usable for park- ing or open area. Addition would be one'story of the same type construction as existing building. There is ample street parking and a municipal parking lot abuts the alley to .the rear. There is sufficient 'access for fire equipment. Presently, there exists a fire and safety hazard. The alley is not posted as a limited parking or non -loading area. Board members showed concern for neighboring business as the structure is used as a music store. Petitioner testified that common walls would be sound deadened. Board voted 4-0 to recommend granting the variations.
