Commonwealth Edison Company has requested a 10' wide easement along the eastern
boundary of a Village -owned parcel that serves as a roadway connecting West Busse
Avenue to the alley abutting the south property line of the Village Center residential
complex. This grant of easement will facilitate distribution of electric power for the planne
new Chase Bank building at the intersection of Northwest Highway and Main Street. The
existing overhead electric lines and poles will be removed. They will be replaced with
underground cable and surface -mounted transformers.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A GRANT OF EASEMENT
TO COMMONWEALTH EDISON ON VILLAGE -OWNED PROPERTY AT
20 W. BUSSE AVENUE, MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect currently owns the property at 20 W. Busse Avenue that
is currently in use as a public roadway; and
WHEREAS, the Commonwealth Edison Company has requested a 10' (ten feet) wide easement
along the eastern boundary of the parcel and will extend from the northeast corner to the
southeast corner; and
WHEREAS, the proposed easement will host buried electrical lines and grade -mounted
transformers to facilitate distribution of electric power for a planned new Chase Bank building;
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: The Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect do hereby authorize the
President to sign a grant of easement to Commonwealth Edison on Village -owned property at 20
W. Busse Avenue.
SECTION TWO: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval in the manner provided by law.

Cook ("Grantor") in consideration of
the sum of One Dollar and other
valuable consideration, receipt of
which is hereby acknowledged, hereby
grant(s) and conveys to COMMONWEALTH
EDISON COMPANY, an Illinois
Corporation, (together with its
licensees, successors and assigns,

easement to construct, operate,
repair, maintain, modify,
reconstruct, replace, supplement,
relocate and
remove, from time to time, poles, guys, anchors, wires, cables, fiber, conduits, manholes,

and underground transmission and distribution of electricity, communications, sounds and
signals (collectively, the "Facilities"), together with right of access to the same and the
right, from time to time, to trim or remove trees, bushes, roots and saplings and to clear
obstructions from the surface and subsurface as may be reasonably required incident to the
grant herein given, in, over, under, across, along and upon the surface of property
situated in Section 12 Township 41 North, Range 11 , East of the Third Principal
Meridian in COOK County, Illinois (the "Property"), further described below:

without prior written consent of Grantee. After installation of any Facilities, the grade
of the Property shall not be altered in a manner so as to interfere with the operation and
maintenance thereof.
