Hallihan RESOLUTION NO. l A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE METROPOLITAN SANITARY DISTRICT BASIN PROPOSED TO BE LOCATED AT CENTRAL AND BUSSE ROADS WHEREAS, the Villages of Mount Prospect and Arlington Heights have requested the Metropolitan Sanitary District to consider early construction of the Central Basin which is included in the Metropolitan Sanitary District's O'Hare Collection Facility Program; and WHEREAS, such early construction would assure the existence of sufficient outfall so that local flood control programs will be feasible; and WHEREAS, the aforesaid Metropolitan Sanitary District O'Hare Collection Facility Program provides for the construction of a 850 acre-foot Central Basin; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the early construction of 130 acre-feet of the ultimate 850 acre-foot Central Basin would provide the needed improvement in existing outfall conditions and bring about a corresponding reduction in costs and otherwise alleviate flooding hardships to the Villages of Mount Prospect and Arlington Heights; and WHEREAS, both of the aforesaid Villages of Mount Prospect and Arlington Height have heretofore adopted and supported the Metropolitan Sanitary District's Under flow Plan by the adoption and passage of Village Board Resolutions iin support thereof; I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEEJ OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, (,10OK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 0l,TE: That the President and Board of Trustees of the Metropolitan Sani- tary District of Greater Chicago be and they are hereby urged to approve the early partial construction of 130 acre-feet of the Central Basin (eventually to be 850 acre-feet in size), which is included in the Metropolitan Sanitary District's O'Hare Collection Facility Program. AN ORDINANCE GRANTING VARIATIONS FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 237 EAST PROSPECT AVENUE, MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, the Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect did meet on the 22nd day of February, 1973, at the hour of 8: 00 p.m. , at the Mount Prospect Village Hall and did hear Case No. 73-4A , pursuant to proper legal notice; and WHEREAS , the Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect did hear this request for an addition upon property legally described hereinbelow; and WHEREAS, the Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect did recommend to the President and Board of Trustees the approval of this request under Case No. 73-4A for the reasons that: (1) There is a practical difficulty and particular hardship upon the petitioner; (2) The purpose of the variations is not based exclusively upon a desire to make money; (3) The conditions upon which the petition for these variations are based are unique in that the property has been so sub- divided for many years; (4) The granting of these variations will not be detrimental, to the public or injurious to surrounding property in that it will not alter the essential character of the locality; and WHEREAS, the Building Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect has recommended to the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect to concur with the recommendation of the Board of Appeals that the variations herein be granted; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have reviewed the matter herein and have determined that the same is for the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect; SECTION ONE: That the property being the subject matter of Case No. 73-4A, being legally described as follows., Lot 15 of J. A. Webber's Addition to Mount Prospect, being a subdivision of part of the East Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois, is currently zoned under the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Mount Prospect as I-1 (Light Industrial District) , which zoning classification shall remain in ef- fect subject to the variations granted herein: IN (a) That the industrial side yard be reduced twenty feet (20') to ten feet (10') ; (b) That the industrial rear yard be reduced thirteen feet seven inches (131711) to six feet five inches (61511); (c) That the minimum lot size shall be reduced from four (4) acres to .72 acres; (d) That the maximum ground area of all buildings including parking facilities shall be increased to eighty-four percent (84%) of the lot area; and (e) That the necessary number of off-street ten foot by twenty foot (10'x201) parking spaces shall be reduced from sixty-nine (f J) to twenty-one (21). SECTION TWO: That all requirements of the Mount Prospect Building and Zoning Code shall be applicable except the variations noted in SECTION ONE heretofore mentioned. SECTION THREE: That the Director of Building and Zoning of the Village of Mount Prospect is hereby authorized to issue a building permit for construction in accordance with the variations hereinbefore mentioned. SECTION FOUR: That the variations granted by this Ordinance shall be null and void, and �of no force and effect whatsoever unless an application for a building per- mit pursuant to such variations is made and construction commenced within one (1) year of the date said Ordinance becomes effective. SECTION FIVE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law. AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING PROPERTY LOCATED AT TME NORTHWEST CORNER OF WOLF ROAD AND EUCLID AVENUE WHEREAS, a written petition under oath signed by the owners of record of land hereinafter described has been, filed with the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect requesting that said la4d be annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect-, and WHEREAS, no electors reside within the said property to be annexed; and WHEREAS, the said land is not within the corporate limits of any municipality, but is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect; and WHEREAS, the President and 13oard of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect find and believe it to be in the best interests of the said Village that said land and territory be annexed thereto; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE:, That all land and territory legally described as follows: The East 467 feet of the South 467 feet (except the South 50 feet thereof) Of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 26 and that part of the South 467 feet of the North- west Quarter of Section 25 lying West of a line 50 feet Easterly of and parallel to the center line of Wolf Road (except the South 50 feet thereof), all in Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois; an accurate neap 'of which territory is attached hereto and hereby made a part hereof by this reference be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois. SECTION TWO: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect is here- by directed to file in the Office, of the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois, a certified copy of this Ordinance together with an accurate map of the territory annexed, SECTION" THREE: That this Ordinance shall be in AM force and effect from and after, its passages approval, and, publication in themanner providedby law.
