The purpose of the variation is by no means based on a desire to make money; 3. The plight of the owner is due to unique circumstances in that the land is so located in an R-1 Zoning District, wherein churches and the owners of churches must abide by the same height restrictions as owners of single- family residences -- and yet churches are only an allowable use in such residential zones; 4.
