Sp rge 4a t - o rm; Sqt.. William Broderick MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES Januar 25, 1972 CALL TO ORDER Mayor Teic ert called the meeting to order at 8:07 P. M. INVOCATION Trustee Richardson gave the invocation. ROLL CALL Present upon roll cal 1 : Ahern Anderson Furst Richardson Scholten Teichert Arrived at 8:10 P. M. Monroe MANAGER' S REPORT The Vil age manager presented the Mount Prospect Chamber of Commerce transportation survey. Trustee Scholten, seconded by Trustee Richardson, moved to accept the report. Upon roll cal 1 : Ayes: Ahern Anderson Furst Richardson Scholten Pass: Monroe Motion carried. The Village Manager submitted a financial statement on the shoppers bus operation which went into effect during the month of December, 1971, as a joint venture between the Village, Chamber of Commerce and the Randhurst Corp. The Chamber of Commerce transportation survey and the shoppers bus report were both charged to the Fire and Police Committee. The Village Manager read a status report on the improvement and expansion of the water system dated January 25, 1972. The Finance Director, Village Engineer and Public Works Di rector were present, along with Mr. R. C. Schl aack, from J. P. Miller Artesi on Well Co. to discuss the system with members of the Board. The report was accepted as submitted and the Village Clerk was requested to place this matter on the agenda of the next regular meeting. Mayor Tei chert called a special board meeting for March 28, 1972 for the specific purpose of discussing future sources of water and requested the other communities --Des Plaines, Arlington Heights and Palatine --(DAMP) and the Commissioner from Mount Prospect, Mr. Teepe, be advised. MAYOR'S REPORT Mayor Tei chert proclaimed January 30 through February 5, 1972 as Children With Learning Disabilities Week. EXECUTIVE SESSION The meeting was adjourned at 9:50 P. M. to meet in Executive Session to consider a matter of litigation. At 11:44 P. M. the meeting reconvened.
