At the Board meeting of April 3, we agreed to discuss
further the request for funds from Omni- House. Omni House
is an organization with an approximate budget of $915,000
per year and receives funding from a number of sources.
For instance, the Mount Prospect United Way provided
$13,000 in funding last fiscal year and is proposing
$15,000 for the forthcoming fiscal year.
Additionally, pursuant to direction of the Finance
Commission, the staff has reassessed the Cable TV Budget.
We are now recommending that Cable TV revenues be utilized
sometime during the coming fiscal year to employ a full-
time Cable TV Coordinator.

Attached is a I staff report assessing the need for a
rate change in the Senior Taxi Program. after telephone
conversations with Mr. Birks, of Birks Transportation
Company, I have directed the staff to abandon any work
on a general rate increase and to focus attention solely
on the Senior Program. Mr. Birks has informed the Village
that there is no need for a general rate increase but, in
his opinion, the Senior Program needs to be revised.
