PROCLAMATION - BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL WOMENS ' WEEK, October 18 24, 1981 C. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF TEE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT This Ordinance reflects the State Statute, providing for the drinking age to be 21 years of age. (Exhibit A. D. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF TEE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT Due to Moloney's Restaurant closing, it is appropriate to reduce the number of Class "W" liquor licenses by one. (Exhibit B) E. A request has been received for a Class "W" liquor license from the new owners Sizzlers Restaurant, 110 East Rand Road. The Safety Commission met September 14, 1981 and the following recommendations were made to amend the Traffic Code: 1. STOP sign - Southbound Wheeling Road at Business Center Drive 2. STOP sign - Eastbound Busine-:1s Center Drive at Wheeling Road 3. STOP sign - Westbound Business Center Drive at Wheeling Road 4. STOP sign -- Eastbound Pin Oak Drive at River Road B. A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE A LICENSE AGREEMENT PERTAINING TO A BUILDING ENCROACHMENT ON WEST FUSE AVENUE IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT Since the building located at 19 W. Busse Avenue (barber shop encroaches onto Vil-lage right-of-way by inches, it is necessary to enter into an agreement with the owner of that building. This item came to'light with the Busse/Wille improvement. (Exhibit E) C. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9 ENTITLED "STREET AND SIDEWALKS" OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT This ordinance will change various requirements relative to planting trees in parkways, etc., as well as setting forth the distance allowed between newly planted trees. (Exhibit F) D. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 21.620 ENTITLED "PARKWAY TREE DEPOSIT" OF CHAPTER 21 OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT This ordinance sets forth the fee for parkway trees. (Exhibit G) E. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 16 ENTITLED "DEVELOPMENT CODE" OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT In line with the two preceeding, ordinances, this ordinance reflects the revised requirements for landscaping. (Exhibit H) F. 1st reading of Al, ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING HOUSING REHABILITATION LOAN PROGRA2N'J. AND STANDARDS AND PROCEDI'IJRES INT, CONNECTION THEREWITH IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT ry This ordinance provides the enabling legislation for the residential rehabilitation (Exhibit J) X. MANAGER'S REPORT A. Engineering inspection service contracts for Busse/Wille improvement. Consider a motion to authorize execution of contracts for inspection services for Baxter -Woodman in an amount not to exceed $30,000, and with Michael Beno Associates at a cost not to exceed $8,,800, in connection with the Busse/Wille improvement. B. Bids: 1. Four 8 cu. yd. dump bodies 2. Four 34,000 GVW truck chassis 3. Sidewalk removal and replacement program 4. 5,460 S.F. of new sidewalk at Euclid "and Elmhurst Road 5. Fire Department Ladder Truck C. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 4.103 ENTITLED "POWERS AND 'DUTIES" PERTAINING TO THE PURCHASING POWER OF THE VILLAGE MANAGER, OF CHAPTER 4, ARTICLE I, OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT This ordinance amends our local codes in accordance with recently adopted State Legislation, raising the limit for purchases that must be bid from $2,500 to $4,000. (Exhibit K) XI. ANY OTHER BUSINESS A. 2nd reading c AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE PART OF DEDICATED STREET RIGHT-OF-W-kY AT THE INTERSECTION OF SOUTH WILLE STREET AND WEST BUSSE AVENUE IN THE VILLAGE OF -MOUNT PROSPECT (Exhibit L) B. Plat of Vacation Consider a motion to authorize Mayor and Clerk to execute this plat, being the subject of the preceeding ordinance. C. Plat of Dedication - Dunkin Donuts Also in line with the- Busse/��Tille improvement, Dunkin Donuts nas agreed to dediccate, a small area to the ncrth of their property in order to provide a i-iiore desireable traffic flow.
